Torque Pro, plus Bluetooth dongle, and any Android device (phone or tablet), and you're away. Quite popular amongst Mk1 TT folk.
Can't see why anyone would use a wired connection.

I had this set up in my 06 outback over in oz... loved the data that was available especially as many cars now a days come with idiot lights and to me when one comes on it's usually too late so the more data available the better

Forgive my ignorance but do you still need VCDS in addition to Torqu Pro? Will Torque Pro diagnose what corner is an ABS sensor playing up, which parking sensor is uncooperative, why the AC is being non AC, cluster work and many others????

No mate torque pro doesn't go into mad in depth detail like that .. but it's pretty handy for monitoring engine parameters etc and clearing fault codes
