TT 1.8t 225bhp engine into my A2

Yee ha! I admire your cojones...!! I'm not one for adding unnecessary weight, just thought 4WD would be the icing on the cake... I agree though, suck it and see! Sure it'll be a lot of fun whatever.
Might as well transfer an A2 body onto a mk1 TT Quattro (I'm not saying it's possible of course) πŸ€”πŸ˜πŸ‘

Considering Audi themselves transferred a TT body onto the shortened chassis of a B5 S4 / RS4 2.7 biturbo quattro it is likely that it is possible..

@celsisone has one of the latter as well .. although I doubt he will be tempted to go further and put an A2 body onto his existing mechanicals .. until bored with the 1.8t... so next year's project maybe?

No, 1.8 t in A2 is enough . This we can get it to about 320bhp in the end .

Will be enough for a daily driver

Ground breaking stuff indeed. I know the 1.8T has been done before (perhaps one or 2 in the UK) but you seem to be doing this one with far more finesse.

And that TT dash, that's going to be something else.

I'm just hoping that if you are ever planning on selling it, that I have the funds to buy it at the time :) But then i can't be greedy, i'm already benefiting from your groundwork on the 1.6 BCB/AUB work.

I am amazed at the apparent alignment of the TT dash (and centre console) within the A2 I had expected some offset of the binnacle to the steering column. It will certainly be unique

I have spent a couple of hours today on trying to fit the TT dashboard and centre console.

With a lot of measuring the original A2 dash and the TT unit .

Started with the centre console . Have lifted the complete unit 30 mm and modified the TT bracket to fit .

Have now noticed that with the gear stick where it is the stereo and heater controls sit out 50mm more into the cabin . This is NOT GOING TO WORK .

Going to have to move the gearstick and hand brake lever forward too πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

A weekend job I think πŸ€”

All depends on how short your arms are. It could be perfect for some πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

After spending 6 plus hours on the dash .

It is starting to look like it should be there .

I have had to cut away most of the A2 mounts .

So I have finally got some time to work on the A2.

Have spent a full day making brackets to hold the TT dash in the A2.

Fitted the side panels and glove box and panels under steering column.

None of which wanting to make a day easy.

I am mostly happy with it, need to adjust the centre console a bit I think.

But starting to look like it belongs there. πŸ™
