UK diesel car does 350 mph

A UK diesel car has broken its own land speed record in Utah, US by reaching 350 mph and it didn't get out of 5th gear (it has 6 gears). Apparently it needs to find better tyres to go faster safely. Oh, the engine was designed and built by JCB! Not quite as economic as an A2 - this record breaker does about 11 miles / gallon but thats way better than the 1/4 mile per gallon of normal record breaking vehicles.

Thanks Wooly for highlighting that.

Hopefully now corrected. I originally used a right-click "copy link location" but I guess the button actually uses Javascript to another URL. Got the right one with right-click properties when on the video page - all Firefox :)

So next time you are sat in a queue of traffic behind a JCB just remember that it has the same engine (Almost) as a land speed record holding car!

Small matter of boring out from 4.4l to 5 l and two turbochargers!
