As there was a little topic in another topic I try to put it on the forum here.
The Question is what other type/kind of cars do Audi A2 owners like?
:D [8D]
My personal list is
:):):):):)
Fiat Multipla
Renault Megane *(new type)
Renault Vel Satis
Renault Avant time
Suzuki Wagon R+ *(first little MPV here)
The new Citroen Pluriel.
The Crysler PT cruiser
Renault twingo
Fiat Stilo *(mpv)
[:p]:D;)[:X][8)][)]
Probaly I like a lot more but these come in my mind now personaly I do not like the very normal cars like opel/vauxhall or volkswagen also the "normal"audi s are to normal for me with exceptation from the TT which I like.

2000 silver coloured A2 with some options :)

You could also add older cars to that list: Citroen 2CV, Citroen Light15, Citroen DS to name three in my all time favourite book...

In the newer ones you can add Diahatsu YRV - (to closest thing to an A2 you can get IMHO), the Honda Jazz (but more for its cleverness than actual beauty)...

I like your list minus the Suzuki and the Stilo...

Honda NSX
Honda Civic CRX Mk 1 & 2 but not the last model
Honda Prelude (the model before the current one - long and sleek)
Honda S2000
Lancia Delta Integrale HF (nearly bought one instead of the A2 just couldn't insure it!)
Lancia Stratos
Porsche 911
Mini Cooper S
New Mini Cooper S
Pro Drive Subaru's
E Type Jaguar
Alfa Romeo GTV & Spider (current models)
Alfa Romeo Spider (as seen in the Graduate)
Mercedes SLK

Oh for a lottery win!!!

I notice allready that there are a lot of different opinions I also realise that I forget 3 all time classics I have owned thats
a 2CV
mini cooper
and a fiat panda
I hope this list gets longer and longer I see now that there are hardly any cars here who are considered normal.
Keep going ;)

Audis:
Ur Quattro 20V
RS2
Current A4 (just needs more rear legroom), 1.8T or 1.9 130 TDI
TT Coupe - shame about the uncharacterful engine (V6 could be much better) and too many on the roads
S8 - cf. Ronin

Non Audis:
Ferrari P4 330 - most beautiful car ever ?
DB7 - 2nd to P4 ? terrible build quality, meant to be the F type Jag but its still to die for
Ferrari 355 - still beats 360 for looks. Great noise, especially the Challenge cars
911 of any vintage ('99 GT3 for me !)
E30 M3 - touring car for the road
E46 M3 - just for the engine, bargain by 911 standards, too common ?

P.S. Magnum PI had a 308 GTS

Hmm... I would say my all time favourite is the 911, with the A6 allroad TDI a close second. Other cars would be a Dodge Durango, PT Cruiser, Volvo XC70, and, I´m almost ashamed to say, the BMW X5.

Bye, Frido.

I have a lot of time for SEAT's. Darn fine cars for the money in my opinion. The range is getting a little older now with the Leon/Toledo due for a change soon, but still nice cars.

I'll have to say Toyota Corolla too as I have one now. OK, nothing special, just a good all-rounder really (but then what else could you ask for!).

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

Any Fiat developed by Abarth such as 500, 600, Rally cars 124,127,131 etc and Mk1 X1/9

Lancias from the V4 engined Fulvias (Aluminium body panels to compete with 1960s Mini Coopers)thro Stratos and all the Delta Integrales

Original VW Golf GTI 1600cc, Corrado, 3L Lupo (looks so much better from front than normal one!)

Audi Rally Quattros of 1980s vintage

Audi Steppenwolf prototype

Original Land Rover (in africa we would say you hate the ride but you love the way it getrs there!)Range Rovers when they were still farm vehicles not posers machines

Jaguar XK140s, earlier E-Types

Austin 7s

1970s Ford Escort RS2000 and Mexico rally cars

Toyota MR2 Mk1

Alfa Sud Sprint, SZ, Guilias, GTV, old GTA (aluminium body), 147 GTA and Zagato Alfas

Honda Insight (the concept is superb - also Ally body and same Cd as my A2)

to name just a few!

My most favourite car is the NSU RO 80 car.:):):)
It was the last middel size car from Neckarsulm (the former NSU company) before they was added to the AUDI factories.(Now was there produced A2, A6 and A8)
This great car had an aerodynamic carbody and an rotary engine (****el system like the Mazda RX today)!!
The RO 80 was build in Neckarsulm from september 1967 to march 1977. The carbody was the base for the development of the AUDI 100 carbody with optimized aerodynamics.

Other (youngtimer) cars:
Citroen DS Pallas, Mini Cooper, Merceds Benz W123 T- model, Porsche 911 Targa, Volkswagen Cross Country, Fiat Spider 124, Tatra 603, Volvo P1800 ES

Alu2000 (see European Owners Gall. No. 24)
2003 1.4 SE cobalt-blue with all german packages (HighTech, Advance and Style), winter pack, ABT front design, removable Towing solution, sport-seats, complete ISOFIX, space-floor-and multibox, OpenSky, GSM, Navigation with PDA an so on ...

My other car is a Volvo V70 (no really), this with the A2 is a perfect pair. The Volvo is often too big to park, especially in some U.K holiday resorts, the parking bays are too small, and ALL hospitals. The A2 can't carry loads of rubbish to the tip, or large items of furniture, also there is no tow bar for the trailer. So it's horses for courses, the trade in value of the Volvo is a joke, so it stays!! But the A2 is our favourite. One of the the most under-rated cars I ever had was the MG Montego, each subsequent owner, and I know them all, has been amazed at the performance. It still looks good and has never failed an MOT, it was bought new in 86.

Although not really a car enthusiast, apart from the A2 the best for me is the Renault Espace (not the new one)I had a 1995 Tdi which was brilliant, and a X-reg DCI which was also brilliant, but thirstier than the first one. The plastic construction appeals to me.
I fancy a TRABANT with a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle engine shoehorned in!! That'd be fun.

I like the cars I used to had... hrrr... well most of them.
Well, if fact only the last one gave me problems:
Citroen C3! Yukkk [xx(]

But in general all the VW models are quite nice (a word sorrow for my late VW Golf IV 115hp TDI)....

The Mercedes C and E class are very good looking, and well as the Lamborghini Murcielago.... [}:)]

A2day-was it interior problems (with the C3)?.

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

All Audi's except the current A3 and previous A4.

Some think I am genius,
Others just can't think...

Ade

New A4=shrunk A6 (in the looks department)

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

Picked up my new Golf GTI TDI 150bhp on Saturday and the interior does not rattle like some old Robin Reliant as it did with the A2.

I liked the A2 but the quality was no where never as high as the golf.

runboy,

Regarding the C3, it had interior and exterior problems....

On the inside: strange noises from the steering wheel, lack of build quality (on every hole in the road it seems the dashboard would come apart)

On the outside: Noises every time I turned (!), clank clank :)
Noises every time I brake.... hiiiiiiiiiiii

On the engine: New electronic fuel injection module (that in C3 case controls everything on the car... from the turning light to the horn)

That's all! :)

A2day
