window problems

cheers matey got few things going on with it only changed the number plate bulb and its started the window problem now the amber warning light on dash with the steering wheel logo and coming up sensor problem checked fluid its fine so its going into garage as i have not a lot of tools
 
only had car about a month bought it private is the sport model.had it valeted about 2 weeks ago on sunday morning after he left i tried to start car and it would not start due to him having doors open for about 1.5 hours i rang him he came round jumped car and it started no problem.has been working fine replace a number plate bulb and door electric now wont work and then yesterday the amber steering light came on with exclamation mark checked fluid its fine so checked fuses they look fine as well
 
Fully charge the battery. My guess is the battery is past its best and due for replacement. Make sure you get a suitable ampage replacement one.
 
Ampage about right. Recharge it, but would seriously consider replacing it in the near future with a 77 amp. Can you see a date code on it? Charging the battery off the car is better especially if the car is on the street.
 
No that is fine, will also give the car a chance to drain any residual power. Once charged check the voltage with a meter, install back in the car and start the engine. Check the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running to see if the alternator is OK.
 
Mileage not the issue. Alternators work hard and short journeys really hurt them. If a battery has gone flat it will never recover to its fully charged state. let this happen a few times through lack of use and the battery is finished.
 
Not sure how to interpret that code is 16 the year, do not know. If it is then 3 years old. As I said though once any battery goes flat they do not recover.
