Afternoon All,

I can confirm that Helmut-Seitz has the payment and they have started work on our order:

You'll notice from Halifax's version of the exchange rate to be even worse than I got just before the weekend.

That's £1024.21 for 100 pairs delivered to me minus the funds you have sent me for postage to you once delivered to me - £1024.21 = £10.24 per pair.

I have charged £9.58 per pair for 56 pairs = £536.48
The Club have paid £10 per pair for 44 pairs = £440

Added together is £976.48 for which I paid Helmut-Seitz £1024.21 meaning I am £47.73 out of pocket. As I stated before I am not going to ask anyone to pay any extra towards the surrounds.

I may ask the Club to pay an extra 24p per pair for the unsold 44 pairs which will now push the price to £10.24 per pair for anyone wishing to buy from now on, that said it is still under £15 for 1 pair delivered to you and will help me by £10.56.
Apologies for the mess around with prices but I was trying to keep everything to the penny as this is was never a profit making venture. As it has taken a few months to get from the 'show interest' stage to the order being submitted I guess this was always going to happen. I will take this into consideration if my next venture involves exchnage rates over such a prelonged period.

Ideas for my next venture welcome (A2 related please)!

I'd just like to say many thanks for all your hard work on this project, and I for one will be buying Tom a pint (of suitable non-alcoholic beverage - we're driving after all) when I see him at the Welsh Social.

Personally I am having to keep my patience in check as I need to get the new plates before I buy a personalised plate I've got my eye on ;)

Evening all,

I have had confirmation from the Club that they are happy to pay the extra 24p per pair of the of the 44 unsold pairs.

From now on the price is £10.24 per pair, it will not rise again as this is the cost price and this is a non profit venture.

The delivery cost remains at £4.50 for the first pair and an additional £1.00 for every extra pair.

This rise in price is very minimal but soon adds up when you're submitting an order for 100 pairs. You can still purchase a pair and have them deliver to your UK Mainland address for under £15.00 which is great for a custom made item for your amazing aluminium box.

Helmet-Seitz have started our order and I have the receipt which I'll get added to the thread soonest.

Thank you to everyone who have been understanding regarding the price increase and everyone who have offered to have their surrounds delivered to the Welsh Social, wavering the postage fee. It is very appreciated.

If you're after a pair of these great bespoke Club surrounds then simply reply to this thread to get your name on the list. Delivery to me is expected no later than Friday 25 August (in time to hand delivery some at the Welsh Social) and I'll be sending these out to you all on the evening of Monday 28 August.

There are only 42 pairs unspoken for so get your name on the list soonest. £10.24 per pair and £4.50 (+£1.00 per additional pair) delivery to your UK Mainland address. I can send these to non UK Mainland addresses and will get the price when posting to you. Simply pay the extra postage to me afterwards.

Here is an updated list showing that all 58 pairs with names next to them have been paid for:

Ive had no contact from Helmut-Seitz since they sent the payment received invoice, no news is good news as I know they are working had to honour delivery to me before Fri 25 Aug.

I have all the information required to get these to all concerned when they arrive.

There are only 42 pairs remaining so reply to this thread to get your name on the list as these may suddenly sell out once members have seen images of them on our cars (fingers crossed in 3 weeks in Wales).

With under 2 weeks until the Welsh Social I will be sending Helmut-Seitz a hastening email in the morning to see if they are still on track for delivery to me before Fri 25 Aug. They state that delivery to the UK is a week so our 100 pairs of surrounds should be on there way to me before next weekend.

If you're after any of these number plate surrounds just send me a PM or reply to this thread. Price is £10.24 per pair along with £4.50 delivery (£1.00 per additional pair).

Helmut-Seitz have dispatched the number plate surrounds. I am tracking them via the DPD tracking number and you may well receive them a week earlier than expected.

Members who have paid for delivery could have these fitted to their cars before the Welsh Social.

I'll keep the updates coming.

Hi Tom that's great news. I'd love to get them on before the social if that's at all possible seeing as I'll have 19 cars following my back end :-)

The number plate surrounds are in Leicester's DPD Depot. Should be with me some point tomorrow. I'll print off the labels for posting ready to send. All going well these should be at the Post Office later tomorrow ready to start their journey to you early Tuesday morning.

Can't wait to see them as I've not receive an image of what they look like from Helmut-Seitz yet. Factory and main office are quite dislocated and don't communicate that well apparently.

Good news everyone,

Guess what arrived minutes ago:

They are all on my garage side board and will be wrapped up this afternoon ready for sending later today. They will start their journey to you either this evening or first thing tomorrow morning.

I must say that Helmut-Seitz have done me (us) proud, absolutely fantastic quality product and looks the business.

Only 41 pairs remaining, get your order in fast as these will soon all be sold.
