Afternoon all,
That is 56 pairs now sold from the minimum order 100 pairs.
44 pairs remaining so please let me know (reply to this thread or send a PM) if you would like a set of these bespoke Audi A2 Owners Club number plate surrounds.
You will see the details (including images of the design) in the origins of this thread but in short, you can purchase a pair and have them delivered to a UK Mainland address all for under £15.

Another update for you all.
I have now received the funds from the Club (thank you very much) to cover the costs of the remaining 44 pairs from the minimum order of 100 pairs.
Whilst working out the payment into Euros to pay Helmut-Seitz it seems that I am now 32p down per pair already paid for. This is just one of those things that happens whilst working on a project with different currencies involved over such a long period. I am not going to ask anyone on the list to pay another 32p per pair and honour the price of £9.58 per pair. Its a small price to pay for the brilliant information service I have drained from whilst being an A2 owner.
The main take away from this though is that anyone wishing to purchase from now on will unfortunately have to pay the increased price of £10.00 per pair (this should ensure the price covers currency fluctuation over the course of selling the remaining 44 pairs) not including delivery. I can only apologise for this but I obviously don't want to be down anyone than I have to.
The price of £10.00 per pair is still absolutely amazing for such a high quality custom made product and it shouldn't put anyone off from buying any off the remaining 44 pairs.
The order will be submitted and paid for in full this weekend. With the manufacturing process along with delivery being 6 weeks that will hopefully mean they will all be delivered to me the day before I set of for the Brecon Beacons.
For those of you who have requested postage, you will receive them sometime during the week commencing Mon 28 Aug, I'll actually be posting them the evening of Mon 28 Aug when I get in from work (6:00pm). I will also be taking pictures of each postage receipt next to your packages which you can have a copy of. I would need to know your email address/WhatsApp address to send it to as Id rather not send such an image over PM as I cannot guarantee your address will not be seen by everyone.
This venture has been a long journey but with all of your input, advice, assistance, lightening responses to PMs and patience I now have the funds to transform this venture to an actual order.
As this is a joint venture with you all as it also involves your money, I am more than happy to include anyone in the email chain with Helmut-Seitz and send copies of the invoice etcetera. Just PM me your email address.

Hi,
My new pressed plates arrived today and they come with surrounds with Audi logos on them (included in the price)
So I have used these for now until I can get hold of my A2OC ones.
They look great (IMHO) (but not as great as the A2OC ones look!!!!)
(Ignore the chrome wrap around the fog light mouldings, that is coming off!!)
BUT !!!!! I hope that ours is a different design, because these are reasonably standard size and they are TOO BIG for the Front cut out area on the front Bumper.
It means that the bottom sticks out as you can see
They still don't look too bad but they are not right.
I have seen some surrounds fitted to A2s where the surround is recessed deliberately where it overlaps the bottom, and so they fit flush.
Are we going to get the type that has the bottom recessed so they fit the A2 front cutout?
Sorry if I have missed this in the earlier parts of this thread, but it would be worth asking them for this recessed bottom type if they do it, so that they fit OK.
Better to check now rather than after we have them?

This is the other type I mean, they have the main part that fits the cutout of the A2 front bumper, but the bottom part (with the logo on) has no backing and so does not interfere with the fit.
This one is a little loose and so the whole surround sticks out a little. But it goes in when tightened.

The Klipp Top 5 surrounds that's helmut-Seitz are supplying should not have the over hang you show in your images above. Should we have gone for the KlippTtop 4 we would have had the same problem
Helmet-Seitz informed me they supply the Klipp Top 5 to many Audi dealers as they fit in the slightly smaller (compared to other manufacturers) aperture on Audi bumpers.
In the early stages of theis venture I was hoping to use the Klipp Top 4 as you can get a white line all the way around the edge of the number plates but after getting the tape measure out it was subsequently removed from the plan.
Helmet-Seitz will see our payment first thing Monday morning g along with my hastening email to, fingers crossed, get them delivered inside their stated 6 week timeline.

These surrounds will be available via this thread until they are all sold, which may not take as long as I anticipated so please state your interest here by replying to the thread. Once all 100 pairs are spoken for it would have to be a new order being submitted which will also have a minimum order caveat.
