Is anyone else running 15 inch wheels on a remapped TDI 90? Since fitting the Audi A1 15’s last week I’ve started experiencing what presents itself as clutch slip.
In 4th gear if I put my foot down hard the revs are climbing but not in direct correlation with the speed. Now this would normally indicate a slipping clutch but……I had a brand new LUK clutch and flywheel fitted 500 miles ago.
I’m asking whether anyone else with the same setup experiences a similar situation.
Project pepperami was a TDI 90 running 160bhp on an LUK clutch and whilst I had wheelspin in 1st – 3rd gear, I didn’t have issues with ‘clutch slip’.
I plan to put the heavier 17’s back on in the next day or 2 just to see if the situation goes way. I’m hoping it does, otherwise I’ve got a serious issue with LUK and who pays for labour to sort a faulty part.
