fitting audi tt front seats

The brackets used by Steve are the same as I made for the S3 seats. Therefore I would say Mk1 & 2 TT seats can be fitted using them.
I do have one set here but they are to bolt TT seats into Jelly.
Time to buy some steel and make a few sets, as I need another set anyway for my blue FSI

Is either more comfortable than the other?
Please if you can post details of these brackets, very interested in the conversion myself and already have the TT steering wheel!

I have only sat and driven in S3 seats which were very comfy. Not installed my TT seats yet, as need recolouring first. They are red, but lighter than those for an A2. Upside is they are all electric and heated.

Just had my first half hour drive in them. They are very comfy, adjust much lower than A2 ones, which really suits me but the TT seat is narrower than the S3 one the brackets were designed for. The result is that the seat is about an inch too far to the right. Minor issue and I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but I think people would be better using Bob’s brackets as intended and buying S3 8L or A3 8L leather seats.

Must say the quality is great and the seat is very solidly in place and perfect for the 8L platform seat.

Should you remove the seat could you take a picture of the brackets bolted to the chassis, is it right the rear plate is 45mm x 50 mm and 80mm flat bar bent to 80 degress for fronts?
Does the bolt on the front sit proud where it bolts the flat bar to the original seat mount hole in the chassis?

The fitment isn't right yet for the TT seats, only the S3 ones. I'll take photos when fitting the passenger side, but Bob may be making a new bracket specifically for the TT fitment.

Greatly appreciated! I want to go for TT mk1 fronts but need as straightforward and time critical swap as possible due to the fact I have no where to store "spare" seats

Hi,
I have just bought 2 X MK1 TT leather front seats. Do either you or @A2Steve have the bracket dimensions / images to adapt them.
I noticed @A2Steve said they are a better fit for the S3 seats as they offset the TT seats.
Cheers Stan

Took me a while to read through this thread and finally got to the end.. did anyone end up making templates to have these fitted as I’d be interested in fitting a set to mine

Hoping to collect mine this week, after being recoloured. Full electric Mk2 TT seats. I have a set of brackets which hopefully fit, but will know more next week.

Guy who is doing them says the first one is looking good, so I hope they both come out ok!
