Boungiorno,
Pleased to meet you and your A2 Cobalt Blue TDI yesterday. The car is not in bad nick with not that a high mileage for a TDI, pity about the heavy rain.
A simple idea to begin with, I suggest you edit the thread title (opening post) and remove the spurious 'P2180' reference and replace with what you now know the fault to be, viz, '19559 - Motor for Intake Manifold (V157)', it then might make sense to members and elicit more advice.
Out of interest I read a thread on your fault that is really informative, apologies if you have found this already
Hi I've started to have my 1.4 diesel serviced and repaired by Welsh VW in Barry. They tell me that I've got fault P3103 indicating the need to replace the motorised intake manifold flap V157. The part from Audi is £350+ but I understand that an OEM or clone can be bought for less. Does...

It does underline you need to verify your engine code, it is above the paint code I showed you on the white sticker in the boot, also on the DVLA V5 you will have and also coded on the the engine block. Looking at your VIN number your build year is year starting August 2004 (4 before the N if I have this right) and I think that means your engine will be BHC (somebody verify as I little familiarity with diesels) but double check. I think the reference to 'Motor' confirms it.
Again lack of familiarity with diesel engines I would not like to try and find the part number on 7zap. ANYBODY????
You could ask
@A2Steve or
@Sarge or someone else to help out with a used part, it will fix the fault at minimum cost!
If you intend to keep the car I question the wisdom of a fitting a worn part (with how much life left?), I would bite the bullet and buy new.
Said enough, but always good to hear of the final resolution with costs.
Andy
Edit. Just thought as the error is intermittant maybe worth checking the wire to this motor for obvious sign of degradation and check the connector pins for corrosion.
Also noticed a symptom on the Ross-Tech list is the abrupt engine cut off you find unsettling!
