Auto Trader has just launched the second stage of voting at
www.autotraderusedcarawards.co.uk where motorists are being invited to rate their cars on a variety of aspects such as comfort, practicality, reliability, running costs, image and driving pleasure. The closing date is 30 September 2007.
The vehicles that score the highest number of points in each category will be the winning cars and an overall ‘Used Car of the Year’ award will be given to the car which has achieved the highest score.
The Award ceremony will take place at The Birmingham Metropole Hotel on the 24th October, and will be broadcast in November on ITV4 during the Used Car Roadshow. The Auto Trader Used Car Awards will be hosted by the ITV’s Used Car Roadshow co-presenters Jason Dawe and Penny Mallory. Both Jason and Penny draw on their considerable experience and successful careers in presenting consumer motoring content.
Auto Trader is giving away VIP tickets to attend the glittering event as a VIP guest, just by voting for your car in the Used Car Awards – all entrants will automatically be placed into a prize draw.
Jonathan Williams, Head of Marketing at Auto Trader comments: “We are very excited about the Used Car Awards and finding out once and for all, what motorists think is the best used car! These awards are unique in that they have been voted for purely by UK motorists – no journalist or car ‘expert’ has had a say! Keep a look out for the awards in November on ITV4 to see who the winning vehicles are!”
Host of the Auto Trader Used Car Awards, Jason Dawe, comments: “This year’s Auto Trader Used Car Awards are like no other car awards in the UK. They are different because they are all about the cars we own and drive. We are really looking forward to crowning the UK’s best used car, as voted for by the British motoring public.”
Auto Trader has positioned itself as the channel of choice for buying and selling a new and used vehicle, built on the combination of local targeting and comprehensive national coverage and can be accessed via its magazine, website and WAP components.
