TT mk1 and 2, mk4 Golf and Audi A3 8l can all be made to fit but require custom brackets.

As for the rear seat, I made sure that I had a pair of leather A2 rears before fitting.

Rear seats fold down as per usual.

I can’t take any credit for them, they were designed and made by @Jellybean

Washed, waxed, alloys sealed and looking fresh. I really should lie in more on a Sunday morning.

Just got the car back from having a disc brake rear axle conversion. Took the opportunity to change the axle bushes at the same time for polybushes. Oh my word what a difference in the ride. Feels so much more composed.

This does however mean that the project is coming to a close and for those who know me of old, that can only mean one thing…..an appearance in the for sale section is imminent.

That then brings the final spec for the build as follows :
  • monroe reflex shocks
  • Eibach 25mm springs
  • H&R front anti roll bar
  • Whiteline rear anti roll bar
  • HEL front brake lines
  • 288mm Fabia VRS brake upgrade
  • rear disc axle conversion with polybushes
  • Cast front wishbones with polybushes
  • Re-map to 105hp (and really does pull very well).
  • 17x7.5 Dare F6 alloy wheels (less than 5k miles use) with matching tyres all around
  • Audi TT front seats on custom brackets
  • Half leather and alcantara sport spec rear seats (4 seater) with matching TT headrests.
  • Audi A8 walnut steering wheel and door cappings. Audi A4 walnut gearknob
  • Kenwood headunit and 6 inch door speakers with iPhone connectivity.
  • Roof line resprayed in satin silver
  • Colour coded service flap
  • All lower plastics and rear spoiler in gloss black
  • Votex front lip

First proper drive this morning since having the polybushed rear axle fitted. Oh my word, what a difference!! The handling is now so pin sharp it would put some sports cars to shame. It certainly handles a lot better than my quattro TT and MGTF/Alfa GTV I had before that. People will laugh at us when we say how well Audi's ugly (subjective) small MPV can handle, but its so true, a comfortable go-kart.

Because they are firmer that a standard bush they could he perceived as an upgraded item.

There are lots of pros and cons to poly bushes, one of the pros being a firmer ride but the downside to that is there is a greater transmission of vibration through the car thougj

Ah I see, Im with you now, I knwo the ones. Car looks like a lot of fun and very unique Steve, great work. Inspiring, cant wait for mass prodcution of seat brackets.

Not the same brand no, but I worked out what caused that, and it was nothing to do with the bush itself. I was usinga pair of alloys off one of the breakers which was so buckled that the vibrations over a 2 hour journey had vibrated the bush loose. Wheels changed, bush refitted and a happy couple of thousand miles since with no issues.

Always good to find the root cause.

Looks great Steve. I think there is a massive benefit in changing the rear swing arm bushes, not many do it, but it’s actually not a bad job. As you know we changed them on Adams car and he says it was transformed.
