BlueTooth Adapter for Streaming Music

Evening all,

It’s well documented on here that the Chorus 1 didn’t allow the connection of the CD Changer:

No evidence of CAN or CD Changer connection

Here’s a Chorus 2 that I was sent to convert Project EUD to Infotainment CAN whilst waiting to transplant a Double DIN Dashboard then add the RNS-E PU:

You’ll see it has the provision for the addition of a CD Changer

Kind regards,

Tom

Thanks Mac. Will check again. Mine is a early 2001 A2 and the multi changer cable (see picture) does not seem to be present or am I wrong?
Evening,

As per my post above, your A2 being of an earlier generation will not have provisions for the CD Changer if you have the Chorus 1. It’s a simple task to upgrade your A2 to the later generation as I had to do this recently before installing the RNS-E.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Just a small note I have a Parrot MKI9200 Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit
Works very well full control even you can put a sd card in the Parrot Display unit with music and has a controller that fits on the steering wheel that controls the volume and pick up calls and end calls skip backwards and forwards .

Evening Mac,

Hope all is well with you and yours. This thread started by @Gilbert certainly involved the Chorus 2 but recently took a turn with @Mbzpar who shows the MiniISO connectors associated with a Chorus 1 which adds up for the 2001 A2 that is mentioned.

As you know it can become quite confusing when trying to answer questions on a thread which is asking about 2 different items. Maybe this could have been separated some posts back.

Hopefully between us both, both members seeking advice have their questions satisfied.

Edit: Mac @PlasticMac I’ve only just noticed that you posted again before I finished tapping away on my phone. To be honest I think the advice we have both provided works well for the different questions on the thread; a great example of why it’s best not to piggyback onto someone else’s thread when it’s not really the same question being posses.

Kind regards,

Tom

Thanks All,

Yes sadly my Chorus 1 cassette player is unable to utilise the BlueMusic adapter as it lacks the CD changer port at the back. Shame. Will have to find myself a near perfect example of a Chorus 2 or Concert 2 instead. Really appreciate the advice folks. Paul

Or a Concert 1, the higher-spec 1st generation tape deck. That would be a direct fit in terms of wiring, without having to provide the CANbus extension, but it would still have the 1st generation volume level fault waiting to happen.
