Quite a severely sloping roof that... Not sure I quite like it... Perhaps I will reserve final judgement for the undisguised final version...

There is already a Q7 section on Audi's website!

I thought the exact same thing when I saw it side on: BMW flame surfacing on an Audi!!! Chris Bangle must be a happy man or he is selling flame franchises now...

I'm not to sure about the looks either.....doesn't especially Audi like to me. BMW front-end with a Toyota rear-end maybe. Though I think the front looks higher than then rear because the car is accelerating away.

2004 1.4 TDi (90) SE, Cobalt Blue, Climate control, Cruise control, DIS, Sport seats, Winter pack, Symphony II.

That is one seriously ugly car!
But then I thought the Cayenne was ugly at first but it grew on me.

Cayenne grew on me too but will never be really good looking... on this platform the Touareg is by far the most handsome.

Pity that the exact same old "new style" Audi Sportback rear light will feature (by the looks of it) on this car as well! So a Sportback, A4 Avant, A6 Avant and this ALL will look pretty much the same from behind...

Words like 'plot', 'completely' and 'lost' immediately spring to mind.
Still at least the residuals of the 'pretty' pre facelift Audis will be secure.
In years to come they will talk about BMW in BB and AB terms (Post Bangle) and good old Audi in pre 05 BLP and ALP terms (After they Lost the Plot)
I still blame Da Silva.
Any suggestions as to wehat I can buy next? 'Cos with the current range it cannot be another Audi.........

Stuart you are not wrong..........
Seriously Ugly. Like a Kia or Daewo--, Daw--- Chevrolet.

Question 3
Discuss what is aesthetically wrong with this car. 5 marks
Why does this design not fit with Bauhaus form, function and design 5 marks

You are advised not to spend more than 5 minutes on each part of this question.

Good site Stuart.

NEVER attempt a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
A2 1.4 SE TDI replaced with A3 2.0TDI DSG, the transmission of the future - today.

That is good news for me... the fewer people buying Audis the more disctinctive the ones will be that are left... I used to bemoan the A2's low sales, but in fact am now secretly happy about it as it makes my car very rare... so sort of the same with the new A3 Sportback et al in the future I hope...

Johann,

Possibly the air suspension is b****red in that photo, making the back end a bit low?? I heard the Q7 will have the air suspension option which is standard from the Cayenne.

I have to agree [8D][8D][8D];)

Kaine,
Think you made the right choice of 4x4. There is no comparison between yours and that monstrosity. Sorry! that may be a bit harsh, but I have to say that it is one ugly motor.
As mentioned above, you can see certain BMW details. Not exactly aesthetically pleasing on the eye!

Dolphin Grey 1.4 petrol c/w OpenSky

The roof reflects the same roofline as the a4 avant. Looks dynamic, not like those other SUV's that look like movingvans on big tires.

Too bad that this car will always be way to expensive for me.

I don't like those big mirrors, are they for shaving your face in the bush ? The touareg also has those big ones.

Dennis de Held

Amulet Red 1.4 Tdi

Looks like a stretched X5 from the side!

Are you sure its an Audi?

1.4 Petrol Special Edition, Ebony Black, grey leather, heated seats, climate, opensky, five spoke alloys for SWMBO (Replaced a 2002 1.4 Petrol SE) Honda Accord Tourer 2.2 iCDTi for me.

I'm still not convinced it's an Audi - the dark marking on the tialgate is closer to the Toyota/Mazda badge shape and it does not appear to have the new Audi grille!
