Handbrake Cable Group Orders

Evening all,

Here are all the group order relevant posts from Steve handbrake cable thread. This has been provided to maintain the flow of the original thread whilst we all add our interest here for Rick @Rickmeister to selflessly supply us with what we desire.

I'll build the lists later on this evening. Of note, I'm here just conducting assistance as this is a Rick's and Ian's @in9999 venture. Rick is going to send the order to Ian, who will distribute to everyone here in the UK.

Whilst the registered interest is extracted to build the lists, I'll also try to tidy it up without ruining the flow of this new thread.

Evening Bernie,

You have now been added to list 6 which can be seen found in Post #1.

The flow of this group order is pretty much as Mark states above. Just so you know where we are in proceedings; List 1 is almost complete and List 2 has just started. You will be notified on this thread when your List is ready to go and Rick will provide some direction on what to do next.

You’re safely on List 6 so sit back for now until Rick tags you in the coming weeks. If you’re in desperate need of a cable then let me know and we’ll see what’s possible.

Thank you to all of group 1 who have promptly paid for their cables, fingers crossed they all arrive safely.

Just as a note for future orders and forum members that reimburse the person that carry out the UK onward posting.

Please remember to select the Friends and Family option in PayPal otherwise they do not receive the full amount.

This bit is super important for myself, and the UK distro member:

If the regular PP method is clicked, basically I and the UK member doing distro are paying fees to send your items, so it costs us to help you get the parts, you can't otherwise get. Everyone can benefit here if we look out for each other, no one in the chain is in the trade, running a business or making profit on this....

My next order will be over €1000 and if I get charged fees, that's €975ish that comes back...

Group 2 is now complete with me and the order will be in on Sunday. Everyone will get a copy of the AT confirmation slip I receive from Audi. Once this has cleared it's on to group 3.

Once the package of 10 cables arrive they will then be sent to individual members by Ian @in9999, which should be no more than a few £s.

Hopefully Steve can supply a used one to keep me on the road until it arrives.
Mine is siezing up and has extra springs fitted and a length of knicker elastic to make it work lol..

Morning Graham,

As I’ve now repaired the rear brakes on Project RN53 I am quite willing to let you have one of the cables I have on the way to me. They were posted by Ian @in9999 yesterday and should be here early this coming week. Happy to meet up in the same location as we did a couple of years ago.

The cable cost £55.27 plus £3.20 postage to me. Hand delivery in Lincoln is of course free. Let me know if you’re interested as it’ll save temporarily fitting a used cable.

I like your MacGyver solution though.
