heeellppppppp red oil light on !!!!!!!

so i got the sensor fixed in the engine, the shop owner gave me car to use whilst he was fixing mine, he gave me a pile of crap and the engine light was on that aswell.....:mad:

so i got the car back yesterday and the engine light came back on with the same code?????
im very confussed now as he showed me my old sensor

also my oil red light keeps coming on and off when the oil is fine??

what can this be?
can i drive this???
shall i jsut get my money back

please i need professional help
 
The red oil light is not just related to low oil levels it is related to the oil pressure.

I would definitely not drive the car with the red oil light flashing, if oit is low oil pressure the engine could be seriously damaged or worse still, seize up while you are driving.

Not trying to scare you, just trying to give you the worst case scenario, just in case.

Hi Katie,

As Steve says, it's best not to drive the car just in case there actually is low oil pressure, which could cause the engine to seize. It's possible however, for the oil pressure switch to go faulty. This is what happened to my car, and I had exactly the same symptom as you regarding the red oil light. The part was around £16 from Audi if I recall correctly.
