The 1999 is SOP for all A2s, not just 1.2s.
The AYZ / ANY thing: I'd love a source on that that's not a forum. I'll try and think of a way to include the 3.2 version in somehow without confusing everyone ;)

The 1999 refers to the stop/start, which only appeared in 2001 on the 1.2.

EKTA and Elsawin only show the ANY as an A2 1.2 engine and I've never seen any VAG document that suggests that AYZ's were ever fitted to the A2. The AYZ is still shown in the technical information on the Wikipedia A2 page.

Now correct although you might add 'or the brake pedal pressed' after 'with the clutch re-engaging as soon as the accelerator pedal is brushed'.

I have now bougt an Audi A2 yesterday.
It is a 1.4 TDI (90 bhp) Open Sky 2004 model.
Metallic black, looks like new inside and outside (except form a few minor scratsces which I can remove by polishing)
113.000 km on the clock.
Black interior,Aircon, cruisecontrol, winter package(heated seats, mirrors etc.), parksensors, radio: symphony, original audi bluetoth, etc.

Looking again, I don't think that the ECO power values are correct. According to the corresponding wikipedia.de page it's 33kw and 45ps.

since it's a 90, i'd expect it to be around the €10k mark. From Germany. A 75 would be around 2k less. Values are damned near stable.

How much is a 1.2 likely to cost, UK registered & ready to go?
I like the idea of one, I don't like the idea of trying to find one.
 
On mobile.de from about €7,000 to €15,000 at the moment!
