New wheels in the murdo household

What a rather excellent choice. Our 8 yo A6 will need to be replaced this year (had from New) and another A6 is not near the top of the list for the same reasons. They've also gone a bit too bling for my liking.

A Superb or Octavia estate 4x4 is very high on the list. Although I'm heading for a discussion with Mrs G on this as she wants something a little "higher up" I.e. a 4x4, which I don't want apart from the traction.

Enjoy your new motor!

Thanks. I pondered long and hard over the choice but I think it's the right decision. I'd also wanted a 4x4 but the Octavia Scout looks a bit clunky for my taste. The 'off road ' styling doesn't suit the car like it does on the A4 and A6. It's also expensive to spec xenons which are standard on the VRS. Plus I fancied the sporty looks too.

I'd also toyed with the Laurin & klement spec in TDI 4x4 estate. It's positively dripping with goodies including park and Lake assist. Adaptive cruise. All mega money with Audi, yet standard on this car - but decided I couldn't live with the brown alcantara upholstery Skoda have opted for on their top of the range motor.

Sorry - this is far from A2 chat but it's cars I suppose so hopefully I'm permitted to indulge my obsession. ;)

Hi Murdo
Since it is posted in the "Car park" section you have robbed me of the pleasure of telling you off and moving the post.
I would have LOVED it if you had made a mistake. ;)

I am still quietly impressed with your selection of car. But ONLY because it will be a second car to your A2.

Steve B.
