Other Quirky Cars?

What about the Audi A2 ute? Now that is quirky and possible to build up from an A2 with damage to the rear... I would still have a Citroën C6 in a shot! So different from the A6/5 Series/E Class set! Another quirky car is an Isuzu Vehicross. Look at it and then look at when it was launched...

The c6 looks like that elephant from the old Peugeot 206 Advert was let loose on it!

I quite fancy turning an A2 that has been damaged into something a bit different.

I have an idea... A2 Cabriolet!

Remove a BrokenSky and tailgate glass and have a electric canvas roof made up! Keep the lower part of the hatch hinged for boot access. Think Fiat 500 Cabriolet...

Small electric engine for use as a city car?

I quite like the idea...

If someone could make me an A2 lwb van that could fit plasterboard in I'd have one!
Tdi 90 remapped of course!
Ahh a reliable van lol

Wrong....that's the Q7 you're talking about. Odious car. :roll eyes:

My lottery funded quirky/cool/unusual garage would include:

C6 as already stated. Lovely car for wafting.
Karmann Ghia convertible.
Toyota S 2000 (the original one)
Escort Mexico 1600

I would also have a Tesla but it's a credit to them that I'd put it in my (also lottery funded) "everyday runner" stable alongside my RS6 Avant, S63 Coupe 4WD in LHD for getting to my ski chalet(s) and my Golf GTE for when I wanted to keep a low profile in an eco-friendly sort of way. The servants could drive that one too.

Obviously we're not covering supercars here......

Not that I've given it much thought.

Classic its a Karmann Ghia tho their getting expensive !

The only recent semi quirky car is the smart forfour ? surprised no ones mentioned it??

I agree with the Honda Insight MK1. But I love the Nissan Cube / Cuboid

I have an Insight Mk1, great car, fun to drive but will always have an A2 on the drive as well :)

I like the Nissan Cube too, only seen a handful here in the UK.

Although there's still about twenty thousand on the roads of Britain (about four thousand more than the A2) I'd thoroughly recommend everyone at least have a drive of Fords little secret - the Puma.

Still to this day held in high regard as one of the best FWD handling cars ever made, that's contrary to the usual "Hairdresser" image it sometimes gets. Cheap, fun and 40mpg day in , day out.

It's that good that I've owned 3 of the little so and so's and even formed an owners club www.projectpuma.com that now has 12,000+ members since 2007.

They're silly cheap now for a good one - just watch out for the tin work in the rear arches.

I'm with you dal, remember when I picked up my puma,T181 POM, panther black 1.4 ordered direct from ford, air con, 6 disc CD and mud flaps and mats. Most enjoyable week was when my company BMW was in for service and I took that, Sunderland to Glasgow, then Oban, Stirling then home, great week driving the puma briskly.
Sold it 3 years later with 8k miles and only lost £2.5k.
Wonder where it is now, I know it's not taxed.

I can also add a 1970s Suzuki I had, a wizzkid, mid engined 970cc 2+2 in silver, was nippy to throw around bank in the 80's
