Yes, in Spud.A quick question for current users of the pro boost map; does anyone have cruise control?
Yes, in Spud.

Yes. Cruise was fitted after the ECU swap.Did the cruise work ok after fitting?
When are these next available?
Can you remove the swirl flaps using it?
How much are they Steve? ThanksI’m just waiting on one unit coming back from @ANDYT and then I’ll be sending a batch of 6 off to Pro Boost.
Have a look through this thread, but the Map will leave the flaps in the open position at all times so they will no longer cause an issue.
If you want me to put your name down for one from the next batch then please let me know.

Thanks Steve, sorry to be thick, so we receive new ECU of your good self then send our old one back to you? They are €300 which is the price set by Pro Boost. A small percentage of that comes to me for my time packing and distributing it. The price includes delivery. There is also a surcharge on your old ECU that gets refunded on return.
Yes please, put my name down.
I believe my actuator is broken, hence the question. Or would I still have to repair that?

You make a good point, Mac. This will, for some, be of concern. Hopefully the knowledge that the immobiliser can be reinstated will allay concerns and broaden the uptake.
A combination of software packages will be needed; VCDS alone cannot do immobiliser work. I do all such work using a self-made device called Gizmo the Magic Box, which many members have seen in action.
I can do immobiliser work either at my base near Lancaster or whilst 'on tour'.
Cheers,
Tom
Evening guys
I’ve had a few customers asking how to change the ECU and they’ve been a bit cautious of doing it themselves.
Now I’m more than aware of my own limitations when it comes to cars, but to show that anyone can do this, I’ve done it with one hand.

Refitting is just the reversal of the procedure.
@A2SteveThe resting position for the flaps is open which is controlled by a spring. The actuator closes the flaps. The reason for your actuator snapping is because the flaps have become gunged up with egr soot. If they are free enough to be able to return to the open position then yes the Pro Boost ECU will allow the engine to run properly without a fault codes for the flaps being picked up.
Hi Jim,Hi Tom, I'm very keen to avail myself of your skills/services when you are next on tour in Surrey.
I know I want the immobiliser added to my pro boost-ed ECU, but there are a few other of your services I'd like to have, too, but I need you to point me to the features you provide.
Edit. This is a rewrite of the my original first paragraph of this post after thinking about it some more. The manifold itself has no spring to return the flaps to the rest (open) position, the rest position is achieved by the actuator arm pushing the flaps open, by presumably a spring within the actuator forcing the arm out. As long as the broken actuator achieves this there is no need to replace the actuator but you would have to sure of this, read next paragraph. If the actuator or arm is broken to an extent it does not force the flaps open then either replace actuator (assuming the flaps are not seized - see later) or strip down and pin the flaps open or remove them. Sorry not a simple answerYes please, put my name down.
