Just found this also that sounds intriguing.
Are Polo 9N parts that similar/dissimilar?
A new rear axle, with bushes fitted for £140 plus delivery. ( admittedly this one is for a disc brake model).
Makes you wonder if it's worth returning an old one.

Yes it fits, someone has fit one on here they had to grind off and reposition some brake clips that was all i believe.
