THe gray plastic surround has been sprayed Ebony Black Pearlescent, but it can only be done on certain headlamps that are dismantle-able.

good paint idea. My car is pine green and drums looked untidy as rust colour. I left the drums in place and got the elec drill wire brush on after putting stud bolts back in place to keep the dust and bits out while i cleaned them. couple of coats of dark green hammerite later and they look good. sorry no photos as digi-cam along daughter's with my battery charger, ladders, tools, sat nav, camping gear, walking gear, soldering iron etc.
