Social meeting - Scotland

Hi folks. Easter weekend bump for the Scottish social on Sunday 7th May . Let us know if you fancy attending and update the calendar please. I'll post up detailed arrangements nearer the time and travel details as required.

I've spoken with the museum and they know we are attending. Depending on when we get finished at the museum and what time people have there will be the option of a mini cruise up to Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. 40 minutes drive from the meet venue and lovely scenery.

Finally if anyone staying overnight on the preceding Saturday fancies meeting up for a meal could you please let me know and we can discuss. Ive a trip to the airport around 8pm to pick up a couple of attendees but sure we can sort something out if there's interest.

Look forward to meeting old friends and new.

Might be cheeky but is anyone going to the Scottish social able to program a spare key? I've no idea how mobile this service is and who can do it but just chancing my arm!

do you have the spare key already but not matched, or do you need one.

If you get the right key I will be able to pair it.

Separate the two halves and read the part number off that and get one that is exactly the same part number.

Then you can get a blade made for it (or send me a good quality picture of your key blade and I can get one cut too.

I also have some immobiliser chips.

Just remind me to bring my kit before I leave home the day before.

I'll need to get the spare key. The car came with two fob keys and a plastic key too... but i haven't been able to find the spare one and the plastic one for three years! I was going to order one from eBay and get it cut - he wanted £35 but I need to check the code first. Off to pull apart my 'hobby drawers' just in case it's in there...

The guy I use charges £9.50 for old style Audi blades and £10 for the newer style blades (if you wanted the newer shape key)

Hi,

The key I have is 8Z0 837 231 / 355029.

I'm finding some online but all so far have the D after the code or another letter and I see from A2OC chats that I need the unlettered one.

Off to hunt for better. :)

My car is a 2002.

Is there anyone on here who can source replacement fobs keys?

Found one on eBay. :)

Whoop! I'll order it tomorrow unless you've sourced one for me before that.

Although he asked for the code from my plastic valet key to cut the blade. Now I'm even more sad that it's lost!

As I said, I know if a guy that will cut you a new blade from pictures of your existing blade.

Thanks Steve. This fella says he can do that too - here's hoping. :) I just didn't want to leave you out of pocket if you'd already gone looking for one.
