Such a sad loss for his family and the A2 community. I only met him once but have had many great bits of info and his logical way of looking at problems was a revelation. Our thoughts go to his wife and family at this sad time. He will live on in our minds and hearts.

Lynette and I also only met Graham the once at Broaches Farm last year. A meeting I very much enjoyed, as I already knew some of the quality of the man from his many, many knowledgeable and helpful posts on here. RIP Spike, and our thoughts are with Janet and Judith (of Broaches Farm).

News like this is never easy to bear. My deepest condolences to Spike's family, and all those who had the pleasure to know him. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them.
John.

I had not had the privilege of meeting Graham (Spike) but a quick look on the a2oc and there are 10 pages of his contributions to help others. My condolences go out to those who knew him and family.

Terrible terrible news. Like others I never had the opportunity to meet Graham in person but I have read his many posts and made use of his great experience so many times I can’t remember.

Tonight I’m sitting out in my A2 at a local park after a walk with Max (the dug) having a quiet moment.

Please pass on my condolences.

James.

Spike's funeral arrangements. ❤️

A few of us will be there to represent A2OC. The day after we say our goodbyes to Graham it's the Broaches Farm Social in his home village. Ironic one of the least sociable people I've ever met was the driving force behind creating this meeting. It may be fitting for future years that we maintain this on the social calendar as the Spike Memorial Meeting . My instinct says he'd have liked that ❤️

Graham’s funeral is on Friday 2 September at 2pm at Barningham church, St Michael and all Angels and afterwards at Dalton village hall. He is being buried in Kirby Hill churchyard.

Like many of us on here, I never actually met Spike or spoke to him, but many messages and many hours of reading threads that he sent links to, made me feel like I knew him. He really was a wealth of knowledge on this forum and will be sorely missed.
Sending my thoughts to Jan and all those close to him.

I had missed this thread but as above never met Spike but sending my deepest condolencias to the family.

Graham aka Spike will be immensely missed but his legacy will live on within these pages of A2OC as he was always helpful with his knowledge.

I'm in the same position - not logged in for a while and spotted this. Terrible news.

Graham was a shining light on here and I cant quite believe he's not going to be able to continue helping others by adding to his legacy. As you've said his knowledge will live on here to help others well into the future.

Its a big hole that will never be filled for A2OC but he was of course much much more than A2OC - my deepest condolences to Jan.

I'm at a loss for words, for once. I really saw eye-to-eye with him on many subjects... agreeing with the poster above me, this is terrible news and I'm very sorry to hear it.
My condolences to those he has left behind.

. Bret

I had the pleasure of meeting Spike at Broaches Farm too. What a loss to the club though much more importantly to Jan, his family and friends.
Rest in peace Sir.

Very sad news looking at his picture you would never expect it, never met Graham but sounds like a great guy. I hope his family are coping well during this very sad time. Best wishes to them all.

Janet kindly messaged me today regarding Graham. First met him when I bought my A2 in I think 2003, and living in the same area he made me very welcome and helped me getting to know this new car.
I got to know Graham and Janet over the years since and always kept in touch via an email, phone call or visit. I will miss him, and will echo the sentiments on here, he was such a kind lovely man, he and Janet always Mede me welcome when I visited them.
RIP Graham …. A true Gentleman.
