Tandem Pump AMF 1.4 TDi

May I ask where did you get the Bosch pump? Seems like they are NLA on a few sites. I am having issue with the brake servo, and inconsistent cold start crank time. 2004 BHC @155k, not sure if replacing the gasket will help. I understand Bosch pump is superior, anyone got part number for LUK pump?

Many thanks...
Think/hope the pipes will be fine... even if just for now.
Missed this years AT run, but will put on the list for next year!
Manifold O ring part number

Many thanks.. will get this also and change...

I think you are looking for old stock. As far as I know Bosch pumps are NLA.
I would be surprised if Bosch have not sold on their tooling and rights to manufacture. Take a look at Pierburg, the pump looks like a Bosch. Pierburg could now be manufacturing Bosch spec pumps?

Edit, old stock? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-F009D02799-Vacuum-Pump/dp/B00C7PLHGW#immersive-view_1676908230498

Ok
So i had a go at reusing the Luk pump as it looked like gasket failure attributingbto the leak.
The gaskets being two rubber gaskets.
Reassembled and it still looks lime a small weep.
Anything I have done wrong?
Many thanks

Hi all.
Any advise?.... I'll have another look tomorrow.
Did younfollownthentorque settings and sequence? Don't have them fresh in my mind but something like 20nm top bolts and 10nm lower bolts, top first then bottom. Something like that, less than you would expect i recall thinking

Did you clean the gasket recesses, clean the side of the head and fit new rubber gaskets? The small one is the important one.

yep. super clean, all done as you say.
all I can think of to try is another set of rubber gaskets?
New quality seals.
If you have a good straight edge check both your head and pump for flatness.
Next try tightening it differently, all 4 finger tight. Tighten to lowest torque setting starting with lowest small screw then large opposite. Second small then second large. First large to full torque then second. Check small screws torque I think that is the way I did it.
Also check the seals that come out, are they mushy? They can fail quite quickly if not best quality.

Many thanks, will do just that now..
Many thanks again.
Everything looked ok, but potential leak from top cover.
Replaced complete pump with a Bosch.
All good and nice and dry...
I think I should get some hoses when available, just in case
:)
