July Update - Thanks to Rob & Marcus at WOM, and Timmus
Well, a couple of extra mods can now be ticked off the old list. Very happy with results, and the interior of the car has now been "lifted" to even greater heights of excitement.
I've got to say many thanks to Tom (Timmus), and Rob and Marcus at WOM Automotive, without these guys' hard work there would be a much "quieter" A2 sat on our driveway now.
First mod was to fit the Begonia "Legends" A1 steering wheel, and rewire the airbag. Tom spent a good deal of time on this and the results are more than worth it... Combined with the matching gearknob mod I did a few weeks ago, and the red leather it makes the interior much more personal to me. I know it's not going to be to everyone's taste, but I LOVE it!
Secondly, Rob had a "spare" RNS-E unit pre-cut for the A2, so after agreeing a very reasonable figure for this it was fitted at the same time. It was also a good time for Tom to test whether the MFSW buttons would work, and again, very happy to report that everything that should work does work, there are a couple of redundant buttons on the wheel (the MODE button does nothing), but it does everything it needs to do.
Now, all I need to try to find is a couple of 4GB SD cards, unless somebody happens to have an RNS-E 193B unit for sale at a very reasonable cost
