Wow that is big brother coming down with a big stick ...they must be very strict on the rules I must say .
According to the VW/Audi online parts catalogue, it's a steel rim 5Jx15 ET28 with OEM part number 8Z0601027ADoes anyone have the dimensions of the space-saver wheel? Perhaps this could be added to the definitive list so that there is only one place to have to refer to. This is a very useful resource to be able to refer to. Thanks.
Most winter and all-season tyres are directional. One of the few exceptions is Vredestein Quatrac 5 all-season tyres.Having said that I have only ever put 165 65 15 Vredestein Snowtrac Tyres on the Wheels. Not great as Spacesaver Spares as they are Directional Tyres.
Hi all, I have a 195/65/15 tyre. I see it is not on the list but is there any way it can be made to work eg. spacers? Asking because I was given the tyre and want to know before I went ahead and bought another three. Thanks
Sound perfect to me ?Hi there, I have been offered some very nice wheels marked on them is 5x100 6.5j x16 inch et42 with 185 tyres on will they fi my A2 tdi? regards Simon
Thank you very much, both of you will go ahead and purchase!
I would expect the 185/55/16 to read absolutely spot on.Be aware that your speedometer may well underreport your speed with these (which is illegal). Before buying, at the very minimum, ask your insurance whether they will cover you with these.
I have 195/50 R16s on my standard SE rims, and they are absolutely at the limit of what is acceptable.
