Every year i try the 'Ring Round' but every year tesco's price seesm to beat everyone else by at least £100. I am not gonna bother anymore.

there is one firm that will match Tesco or even beat it:

Ask for Mr Humphrey at Chris Knott Insurance tel: 01580 752961 they helped where others refused to insure my "unusual" LHD 1.2 TDi A2. The premium reduced from £900 to £482.

that includes that UK Govt stealth insurance tax


Another tip - always ask for the policy that returnes the least amount of profit for the company - this works best where you call is monitored/recorded and the employee has to be honest with you.

Suggestion to all you guys out there.... I'm about to purchase an A2 sport, and do the phone round to get insurance once I've decide on which model, but preliminarily I see elephant is the cheapest... Cheaper still if I put my girlfriend on it... You see, insurance companies seem to like the idea of the other half pranging it in tesco's, so I would recommend that if you don't have another half, insure a female friend.. She can probably drive you back from the pub after a few as well.

Strangely enough my wife is always the main driver. Not only do I benefit on low insurance due to sexism, but also ageism. :)

Europe are trying to put an end to the UK's lower insurance for females, due to sexism. Apparently women have exactly the same ammount of crashes as men, its just they are on average a lot smaller incedents, hence cheaper repairs.
 
Let's hope they do the same with ageism-too many old people have accidents for my liking. Nearly as many accidents, prangs etc than the young-uns!.
