The bad reports about Spidan springs are mounting up and they were the "go to" fitments at one point.
Were new top mount bearings fitted at same time as those spidans?
Evening Menno,Today I installed 2 new springs at the front side after a broken Spidan 49527 (16 months old from new).
Now using Sachs 998 405...... This is how it looks in combination with Bilstein B8.

Evening Menno,
I do really like these wheel. I might have just purchased a set. Thanks for all your support recently sir.
Kind regards,
Tom
Yes, well it was fun while they lasted......
I've always been an advocate of buying the genuine Audi springs with correct dots/ weight requirements. I appreciate the expense involved but you will probably only buy them once and for peace of mind and safety....priceless ?
Clearly spidans are suffering seemingly early life failures, hope my KYB's fair a bit better!Sir, yes Sir! Inspected and double checked and still in great/as new condition now.
16 months ago all new;
Top bearings left and right
Bilstein B8
Spidan springs
Various bolts and nuts
What sort of money are they? From A3 i guess?Today I...
Had wheels envy yet again, thanks for the that @Menno.
Therefore I had to purchase these:

Now I’ve had my eye on a set of these since I mentioned them on the Definitive Whee Thread. Seeing Menno’s A2 wearing these a few time snow just confirmed that I must have a set.
The part number is 4D0601025AA and they are ET45. Some 15mm adapters should allow them to fill the arch very nicely.
I’ll inspect the condition and get them refurbished if need be then clad them in a set of decent 195/50/16 tyres. Happy to receive any recommendations.
Kind regards,
Tom
How do A8 pcd 112 fit A2 pcd 100?Evening,
I believe that they are from an A8. They are Forged Aluminium thus very light. Not quite as light as Audi Pepperpots but almost the same weight once the rubber is fitted, only slightly heavier naked but use less rubber doe to being bigger. Hope that makes sense.
These will look amazing on an Azure Blue A2 sporting full Votex.
Kind regards,
Tom
There are a few options here.How do A8 pcd 112 fit A2 pcd 100?
Can’t wait to see what they look like Tom! I bet you can’t either.Evening,

There is a set currently on eBay for £280 plus shipping from Germany, the shipping is a little steep and sure it could be cheaper. They are quite rare and don’t come up for sale that offer. I won’t say what I paid but it was a steal in my opinion.
These will look amazing on an Azure Blue A2 sporting full Votex.
Kind regards,
Tom
Evening dieselfan,I you like them too..... be welcome
