I've just gotten this email from Autometrix:

Very good news for anyone going to the Audi Driver International Gala dinner

We've just had it confirmed that Allan McNish will be there in person, to collect the award for Personality of the Year

( sorry Mike, nice try * maybe next year eh? ... )

Feel free to make this known to your club / forum members, especially as there are still some places available at the dinner ;)

Well, seeing as Audi lost out to Peugeot this year, perhaps Allan won't be in the running for next years award?

But then, I might not be either!!

Anyway, back to matters in hand:

The club stand donations are up to 16 now, so, presuming that Robin and Maddy are going to come in just the one A2, that is 15 of the 25 allocated places filled!

Can those who've indicated on the calendar that they'll be attending, but not yet secured their place, please do so asap, to avoid disappointment, and to be in with a chance of winning that subscription to Audi Driver magazine.

Could I take this opportunity to remind everyone to bring there driving licence. You will need this if your intending to go out for a few hot laps. It is very embarising if you have drive all the way home to get it ;-))))))))

Including the paper copy of your license as well if I remember from last year.
 
Saturday 10th October - Daytime Event

Is it ok to come along to this event and stay with the A2 group if your not doing the track day? And are our car's going to be together as a group?
 
Hi sojah yes you and any other member is more than welcome to join us - the track driving isn't taken up by many of the members but most if not all go on the parade lap(excelent photo op) as this is at a steady pace. The parade lap is free its only the track sessions that cost extra.
What you need to do is see Skipton s post about the £2 donation to club funds this will get the pass for coming onto the a2 pich and puts you in the draw for a years subscription to audi driver int magazine. We will be meeting
up in a carpark before driving into castle combe as a group (details on here) it would be great to see as many members as possible as this is our biggest gathering of a2's of the year.

Donations for club stand passes are up to 21 cars now! I'm not going to list names, but there are people who've donated that aren't on the calendar list, so with only 4 guaranteed spaces left (I'm sure we can fit more in, but I only have 25 passes), if you want in, you'd best be quick!

Hi,
Just donated on the site to secure my place! Will be coming along in one A2 with wife and child.

Will be able to meet in the car park - that's at 8.45am isn't it?

I know where the car park is, having attended this event twice before.

Look forward to another great day with you all - Let's hope the sun shines on us lovely A2 owning people!! :)
