Lol

I meant to put Isn't in that previous post. as it doesn't have any relevance otherwise. Have edited it now

Also according to the BBC, Meriden in Coventry is "largely accepted" as central england, hence my previous comment about kettering being basically central.

"For centuries Meriden, to the west of Coventry, West Midlands, held the claim to be the geographical centre of England, and there has been a stone cross there commemorating the claim for at least 500 years. A rival claim for the true location of the centre of England is made by the site of a tree, the Midland Oak, situated on the boundary between Lillington and Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Similarly, the town of Haltwhistle in Northumberland still sports banners stating that it is the centre of england."

Centre of England maybe, but not centre to UK, including Scotland and Wales!!

Its still to close to London!!!

going to try and make will have to pay on day when I get there hope the weather is good.

Morning all,

With only a fortnight to go till AITP, is there a plan?? Mr Sumo, do we have a club area and any banners etc?? I know there are quite a few other meets over the summer, but I hope this one is well attended to. We wouldn't want the TTOC to have the most cars on display ;):)

Cheers,

David

Hi all yes we will be having a stand and yess at least one of our A2oc banners will be there.as for having more cars than ttoc hmmm I doubt it but I can guarantee that we will have more A2's than last year(3 mine/robin/newmember)
We will also have the party tent to hopefully keep the sun from us not the rain! Should have bbq's on the go aswell so bring some food if you wish.
Is there anybody interested in putting their A2 up for the show and shine? Come on all you people that love to polish their pride and joy--at least we have an excuse as to why we don't open the bonnets--"it's factory sealed"lol
It's a great day out for all the family due to having the fun park right next door and a big boot fair if it takes your fancy.
So let's see how many we can get cheers mike

Show and shine; what does that entail??

I'll be giving mine a full clean, polish n wax on the sat before hand, so mine will be shining to show :p

Hi All,

Glad to see the A2OC attendance list looking strong now.

In answer to a few earlier posts regarding location, I just want to say this "you can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time"

AITP was created, solely by myself, to bring ALL Audi owners together for a day of chillin and relaxing.

There is NO OTHER AUDI ONLY event on the calendar, even ADI has opened its doors to other VAG cars.

The location is about as central as I could of asked for and considering I have visitors travelling from as far as Belgium, Northern Ireland and Forfar in Scotland, it should give you some idea of the momentum this ONE DAY show has gathered.

Two national magazines covered last years event and this year is all set to be bigger and better.

As someone has mentioned, Camping is available on site and we are even planning on having an ALL Audi camping area and BBQ.

Someone also mentioned I am not an A2 owner, Correct!.. But for AITP this doesnt matter, its an AUDI show...Full Stop!

I suppose I just didnt want anyone to think this (relatively) new event is a couple of Audis in a carpark!

Anyway, Hope to see some of you there.

What time is everyone meeting up?

As there will be a bbq I better make sure that there are plenty of jackets lol

David

i will post a time and place in due coarse david--but i guess it will be early as i will have to put the spuds on the bbq ready for lunch-lol.
last year robin and i met up at the mac d's near to the park(8.30am if i remember correctly),they have a good sized car park and the bonus of hot food and drink.but those that dont want to or can't get there for that time its no problem joining us on the a2oc stand.
john for the show and shine you need to get a form from drivebyshooters on the day--the only thing you need to do is have a shiny car mate so go for it.
its great to see old and new names on the list i'm sure you will have fun cheers mike

Cheers Mike

That sounds like a good plan. Should not be a problem being at macdonalds at that time.

We can give you a hand setting up. I will have to get the flag staight this time lol

Cheers

Lol

I live in MK.

Would recommend Willen Lake and the peace pagoda, which is in willen too.

There is also Caldecotte lake, which is nice area, then Stony stratford is a good part to go to, lots of places to eat and its very quaint round there - has local markets round there.

Then you have woburn itself with woburn Abbey and the Safari park which is excellant.

So you'll have a busy day

Gents (and ladies?)

I was aiming to rock up at about 10am and join the club stand area. My A2 will be shiny, but since having a baby A2 owner join the family (Charlie, now 6 months old) it isn't looking as good as it used to! so no show and shine for me. I have persuaded my wife to come too, and of course the youngest A2 fan will be with us, he quite like cars, just like his Dad!

Sounds like a relaxed day all round.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers,

David

Just read that new update from Drivebyshooters.........

So the park opens and 9 but event does not officially start until 10.

So Mike....................what time are we meeting up and where?

I presume we are buying tickets on the gate?

John

hi all yep i have now read drivebyshooters update and i think to ensure we get a good pitch and plenty of time to arrange cars.so if you don't mind an early start i plan on meeting up at McDonald's on orion way (NN15 6NL)at 8-8.30 am so we can grab some breakfast.then proceed to the show and put the tent up and sort the cars out.
please don't panic if you cant make the early start-come when you can JUST REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CAR TO THE A2OC STAND AND NOT PARK WITH JOE PUBLIC--don't be shy it will be great to see loads of cars together.I'm hoping to set a new Audi in the park record attendance this year;)
cheers mike
