Bespoke Branded Footwell Mats Group Order

Hello all,

I thought I'd move the list to the very start of the thread for easier viewing.

Here's the list below which will be updated periodically to show you the I have captured your interest. I'll revise the list over the next few days to ensure its fit for purpose but this should suffice for now:

As you've come to understand from pervious dealings, this Group Order is of course yet another zero profit venture. I'll be paying exactly the same for my mats that you are for yours. My time working in the background for you is free of charge, a way of giving back to the community I both enjoy and serve.

Kind regards,

Tom

Footwell is looking great now with the new mats fitted (before and after below) The quality is similar or even better to OEM ones very happy and worth the wait. Thanks @2work as this will have been a lot of effort to get this many mats sorted for all of us.

Now I need to tidy the rest of my footwell up including getting a new pedal cover for the clutch as the metal plate kept coming off.

Morning Tom,

A much happier footwell there. As you say, worth the wait. Should there be a second run of these in the future then I see it being much quicker. Thanks for sharing pictures, this will of course form the basis of the potential second thread.

Kind regards,

Tom

Really impressed with the quality, fit and the colour of these. I'll be keeping the back ones 'for best', as I still have original rubber mats for the muddy boot wearers.

Afternoon Tony,

Glad you're happy with your purchase. I fully understand your thoughts on keeping the rears safe. My rear right mat got a crisp trodden into it on their maiden journey.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening all,

After investigating this idea late last year and starting this thread back in January this venture has pretty much come to an end now. there was a few issues to rectify along this journey but we got there. I do hope you're all very happy with your purchases and please do contuinue to add pictures of you footwells to this thread as this will assist in any chance of a second round ever happening.

Thank you all so much for being part of this group order and you patience throughout, without your interest then this would have seen the price a lot more expensive than necessary.

Apart from the set Rob @robrace has ordered, which is in transit from the factory to me and should be with him next week, the remaining 37 sets reside with their buyer. To keep costs down I chose EVRi for this venture who do get a lot of bad press, they haven't been perfect the last week or 2 either. Some parcels have sat dormant since last friday and only got delivered a couple of hours ago. That said they have pulled it out the bag and I can now safely say that everything sent has finally been delivered.

I couldn't ease off posting on this thread without yet another list for you so have updated the list back at Post #1.

With just 1 set to be sent out plus a niggle that's being ironed out with swatch placement sees this pretty much job successfully done.

Until the next venture!

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening Erling,

They look great fitted. I really do like your contrasting interior, if it wasn't for the Twist Rear Cup Holder then I would do exactly the same, very stylish and modern. Fingers crossed for the LHD mats.

Kind regards,

Tom

Morning Nolan,

They look quite at home within your interior, great colour choice.

Glad you’re happy with your purchase. As I’ve said before, it took way too much of my time getting this venture to the end and it’s happy customers along with great feedback that makes it all worthwhile.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening all,

I can finally say that this venture has made it to the end. The last set were delivered earlier today after waiting for a corrected set to be sent to me.

All 38 sets have been received and are ready to be placed into their buyers footwell. I must add that all that were sent using the EVRi 2-3 days service arrived on or ahead of time less for just one set that sat dormant for a whole week, no claims had to be made which is good news.

Thank you all so much for your contributions along the way and of course your patience as it has taken some months to get this to a satisfactory finale.

Please do keep adding pictures of your mats fitted when you find time to do so.

Kind regards,

Tom

Fantastic outcome there Erling,

Glad the cut was true to your templates. That cabin looks terrific and very inviting, you must be very happy with the way it’s come round to your vision.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening all,

With recent group orders complete I am now turning my attention to understanding if there is a demand for a set of A2OC branded footwell mats. I'll only be using the best possible quality for comfort and longevity, so this might not be the cheapest venture.

Ive been after a set of these for years after seeing a picture of set here somewhere on the Forum. This is what they looked like from the Group order back in 2015:

These do look great but are no longer available as the original supplier is no longer trading. I had to therefore approach an alternative supplier and have found quite a few who are willing to help. The top contender so far is www.simplycarmats.co.uk. I've received a fantastic response from them and have been going through the details with their customer services for the last 2 months, I'm now armed with enough details to share to understand if this is something that's of interest which I should continue with.

As you can see, the above mats are sporting the previous A2OC Logo and I would be having the latest Logo added:

Here's an idea of what they will look like (photoshop only at this time):

There will also be a complete colour chart for you to choose from so don't be put off by the red trimmed anthracite mat above. The choice of what colour you receive can be totally customised by your good selves.

Here’s another image of the previous run on a darker mat, which I think you'll agree looks a little better on the eye, of course with the latest Club Logo added:

The supplier I have chosen will be providing our Club Logo embroidered onto a backing cloth/swatch which will be sewn onto the mats, fronts only but can also be added to the rears for an additional charge.

After engaging with many different suppliers I have decided to stick with www.simplycarmats.co.uk who have provided the best response so far. I'd be very interested in anyones views on their products if you've used them before, more so about longevity.

So what are they offering to us as a community? Before I dive into the costs I think you need to see which of their offerings I'm proposing. I have chosen their Super Deluxe set of 4 mats. These are their premium quality carpeted mats and can be customised to your choice.

Super Deluxe £49.90 (price increased to £68.98 Jul 22):

Below are the carpet colours options available (beige, black and grey) along with the perimeter trim colour option (£3 for non standard). These mats come with a free carpeted heel pad but an optional rubber heel pad can be chosen for an additional £5.

Should this group order move forward then all of the above colour options are available to you. Your mats will be produced direct from your choices based on the above options.

If you’re wanting to understand what colour options might look best to your eye and suit your A2 then you can use the website link above and play with the choices as it'll update the picture of the mats in the first picture in this post.

Once you've had a play with the options available you'll quickly understand that the mats cost between £50 and £60 which is without the Club Logo. I'll go into the deal that this supplier has offered us in the next post.

Kind regards,

Tom
