Hi chaps. I just went to reply to a message on something in the market place but am told I dont have privileges to the marketplace. Ive not followed the forum updates for a while. What am i missing? Regards, M
There is a separate link at the top of the advert called "Discussion" that is the way to reply to the advert.Hi chaps. Hi Ian,I'll just not bother trying to sell anything here any longer. I've already binned one item whose post was deleted as I hadn't placed it the right section. I'd offered something in reply to a posting. Had I listed it as a for sale item in the marketplace, its almost certain the person it was intended to help wouldn't have been the first person to respond. It's simpler to list on eBay now, less bureaucracy.
It is at the top left (not the very top) of every advert that has been transferred to the new marketplace, it takes a while and a lot of effort to transfer them so please bear with us.Im afraid that button doesn't appear on this thread. It was created pre changeover so im guessing thats the issue.

As I say, many of the adverts have been converted and so they contain the required links (as below). It looks like yours is not yet converted.Im afraid that button doesn't appear on this thread. It was created pre changeover so im guessing thats the issue.
Hi Ian,
On eBay you dont see the replies and questions and posts saying "that price is a good one" etc. Ebay is easier and clearer than the style we used to have because the advert was the advert, uncluttered. On our forum we used to have the adverts mixed in with replies and you completely lost track of the advert.
Look at my advert for Violet.
It has plenty of very welcome comments on it and many questions but the advert is masked slightly by these. We would not want to NOT have those great replies from helpful members and so we have simply come up with a solution, you can have BOTH.
It may look complicated at first but it is actually quite simple, you post your advert in the advert section and replies and discussions are in the LINKED discussion. SO you can reply to the advert and discuss it, but the advert stays clean. Please give it chance.

Hi
I am sorry that you feel that way but of course that is up to you. In fact it saddens me that such a great guy as you would feel that you have been unfairly treated. But the rules are there fir a reason and they are the same rules as before. Adverts need to be in the correct section. It is just s case of trying to keep everything in its place.
I am really sorry that this has upset you, I hope that you could possibly reconsider?
But all I can say is please don’t feel badly done to because a modetator simply applied the rules. That is what they are asked to do. After all we are all volunteers and all are just trying to do it fairly and apply those rules equally and consistently.
Please reconsider
Steve B
