Project Pine Green 1.6

Afternoon Steve,

Now that looks great doesn’t it. Very elegant indeed. Please forgive me if I steal this idea for Project OEM, if I can get access to it that is.

Fabulous enhancement Sir.

Kind regards,

Tom

Having just driven the car, I can see that the lower kick panels need to be changed to cream because they don’t make sense in black. Nice easy job though to sort.

It’s looking like the lounge of a gentleman’s club in there, lovely! What switches are you using Steve?
Have swapped the kick panels to cream as well tonight and it looks much better.

I’m using Audi A3 8P chrome tipped switches

@2work, could you tell me what product you used on your gearstick to change the colour to cream? I’d like to paint the bottom gaitor in cream after seeing how good yours looks.

Evening Steve,

The very same Furniture Clinic product that @Hef later used on the TT seats Sir. I might even have some left but it’ll possible be past its best now. I’m sure the bottle has a shelf life of 12 months from opening.

Let me know if you want to give it a go and I’ll send it to you.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hello again Steve,

This is the exact product I used:

Colour is Light Cream which is actually a close match for Twist.

For even better results I know Hef actually sent Furniture Clinic a Twist item (headrest I think) to colour match so they have the ability to supply a perfect match now. Have a chat with Hef as he'll have the finer details.

Kind regards,

Tom

Thanks Tom, i'll just give that one a go. It looks a perfectly good match in your car. Probably best you keep yours incase you need to touch up anything.

Combined with some volico for the plastic parts it should come up nicely,

Steve, have you considered changing the lower section of the door card panels (that act as pockets) to black instead and leaving all the lower areas black as to my eye that could look it's best?

Just a thought 👍
