warwick castle weekend camping

Yes that will be no problem with just the Saturday or if people want to get there late on Friday (campsite rules unknown) it wouldn't be the first time we have put tents up in the dark!

I'll prob skip the camping as dont live that far away from warwick castle, but i'll come over early on sat, for the day at the castle

Hello,

I would like to join in somehow and since I live in Warwick it's convenient too :) But I've seen the castle many times, so would like to give that part a miss.

Are there any evening plans for either the Friday or Saturday? Even if it's not camping it would be nice to pop in and say HI.

Let me know your thoughts. :)
 
Maybe Sat afternoon I'll try and set something up as we will probably have lots of friends over for a BBQ Sat eve. Since they have kids, I want them to get out and about and expend some energy...

locations? I'm open. Coombe Abbey might work quite well.

hi will your more than welcome to join us for the Friday /Saturday. Friday night will probably be a BBQ if nice or a meal out. sat will be a day for a drive out and photos followed by BBQ in the evening along with the toasting of marshmallows and a good old get together.Sunday will be the castle then back to camp for the going home bit.
I'll pm you my phone number as that will be the best way of getting in touch there.

P.S FOR THE DRIVE OUT WE USUALLY USE THOSE CHEAP RADIO/WALKIE TALKIES SO IF YOU HAVE ONE BRING IT ALONG AS ITS A GOOD WAY TO KEEP CONVOY
 
Mike on sunday we will prob have to be out by 12pm, so if we are going to the castle we'd have to pack up before otherwise we would have to pay for another day? unless they can let us stay til 6pm (ish)?
 
hi Richard yes that is a valid point i did try and find out what time we need to clear the site but at the moment i cant find that out.so yes we may need to de camp before going to the castle. or if people would prefer and can logistically do it get to the camp site Friday (night is poss) /Saturday we could do the castle on the Saturday.will phone tomorrow and report back.

I'd have thought the Saturday would be best at the castle, as it's easy to lose a full day there, especially when the tournament field is in full swing.

That leaves Sunday for a pack up and tour, with a stop off for a pub lunch before we disperse.

hi one and all i have confirmed with the campsite that we can leave at any time of the day. i agree that Saturday may be better for the castle-the reason i had originally said sunday was to give people chance to travel to the camp site and put their tents up,without the time restraints of getting out to the castle.
so are we all OK to do the castle Saturday? please post on here your feelings
