I know we have not yet arrived but even so @Teresa you have clearly put a lot of effort and thought into this and it really shows, well done to you and anyone else that has made this possible, we both really appreciate it.
Thanks Mark. I have impressed myself designing the form and linking it - my team use Forms a lot, but I've never done them before now ?
But the idea for the trip and all all the info about the area and trips is down to Graham (Aka Spike)

Well you both deserve a lot of credit and I'm sure everyone coming is most grateful.

Travel News.

The A66 west from Scotch Corner is extremely busy at present with traffic density building from mid morning so the 8 miles to the turn off for Broaches Farm can take an extra 40 minutes if you are unlucky

If this was your intended route and the traffic slows after Scotch Corner, 'Plan B' would be to head for Gilling West then aim for Hartforth, Washton, Kirby Hill, Gayles, Dalton and Broaches Farm. It's a slow, twisty route but at least you keep moving

Cheers Spike

Hi everyone, just under a couple of weeks and we can now share details of the planned activities for the weekend. We know that some people will want to spend some time at the site either working on their cars, or having things done to them, but will also want to get out and about. Therefore we have put together the following itinerary of optional activities

Saturday Morning - arrival and set up (some of us are arriving friday night)
Saturday Afternoon - Dales Drive https://goo.gl/maps/qtw6UfvcbAUsRnJP7 with the possibility of a minor detour to a pub with a large car park for a photo op.
or
Visit to the Forbidden Corner This may be suitable for those with younger club members (or indeed 53 year old big kids like me) It will need to be booked however so we would need to know numbers soon. Looking at the map, it may be possible to do some of the tour and then head off at Reeth to go to the Forbidden Corner
Saturday Evening - BBQ and games - there is a BBQ on site so we were thinking people could either bring their own to BBQ, or we could provide basic, hot dog, burger (or veggie options), plus accompaniments, for £3 a head. We have some outdoor games (giant Jenga etc, to keep us entertained)
Sunday morning - drive to Barnard Castle - There is a fee to enter the Castle itself, or people may wish to just have a wander around . I will look to book a group ticket if sufficient people are interesting in visiting the castle itself
Sunday afternoon - Some people (me included sadly), may need to start to head off due to long journeys), but otherwise, we will aim to go for lunch at The Rokeby Inn (i am just confirming the maximum number they can accommodate - they also do takeaway food for anyone staying friday night)

I will try to find a way of collecting details of what people would like to do and post that asap, but just wanted to let you have a look at the plans in the meantime. Really looking forward to meeting you all

ps - i have hopefully contacted those who wanted electric hook up, or B & B, but if not, they are confirmed :)
Missed all these updates!Had the automatic notifications but the just stopped! Will look into it quickly and add my name to the form I saw down below!

This all sounds really exciting. Thanks for those that organised this, great stuff! Planning of getting there Friday afternoon, but not sure what time, as driving from Hereford and making a few stops along the way!Missed my chance to visit the caves with everyone, but sure there are other things to see in that part of the land.

I'll be there friday afternoon too, so will see you then ?

Decision time......do I take the 90 Sport or Project Flipper with me to the meet ?

After the SW meet, I would like to ask the A2oc members to forgive me for again asking if there is any scope for a parts-transport relay during this meet travel? A2Steve has a door matching my other half's Island Green car that was dented 2 years ago which is only the second suitable panel I've seen anywhere in this time. As I'm not going down past Wales anytime soon I was wondering if there is any means that we could get the door from Steve to the camp and then up to Scotland - I understand door transport is fraught with issues like corners being bent by being dropped in transit. Will be happy to contribute to fuel journey expenditure for anyone involved through Paypal if there is an option. Many thanks all - and please don't put yourselves out.

What part of Wales?

Evening Virginia,

If you tap on a members username it should show where they are located. This does depend on how accurate the member sets their account up though.

In Steve’s case he is on the ball with his account set up:
