We're staying at a nearby Prem; camping isn't obligatory. Tell your good lady you are treating her to a mini hotel stay and break away. You might just happen upon a chance meeting with a few A2OC members... ?
My wife did say she wanted suggestions for what we should do after I finished work on Saturday ?

Unfortunately I think on top of my dash up to Timmus Towers tomorrow, an overnight stay with even a hint of A2 could leave me in very hot water!!!

I thought it best I let everyone attending know that myself and Angie won't be making it this weekend due to a very serious family issue. Hope to see you all again soon.

Will be sorry to miss you both there. Hope to see you again in better times.

Sorry to hear. I look forward to meeting you both in due course. All the best, take care.

After the SW meet, I would like to ask the A2oc members to forgive me for again asking if there is any scope for a parts-transport relay during this meet travel? A2Steve has a door matching my other half's Island Green car that was dented 2 years ago which is only the second suitable panel I've seen anywhere in this time. As I'm not going down past Wales anytime soon I was wondering if there is any means that we could get the door from Steve to the camp and then up to Scotland - I understand door transport is fraught with issues like corners being bent by being dropped in transit. Will be happy to contribute to fuel journey expenditure for anyone involved through Paypal if there is an option. Many thanks all - and please don't put yourselves out.
Further to this - I appreciate it was a very late notice request but has become clear that it isn't going to be feasible. Owing to my own unavailability (I would have driven down to Yorkshire and back on Saturday but a school friend I've not seen for 20 years is coming to Scotland unexpectedly and I'm therefore otherwise engaged) it isn't going to work this time round. I would as always like to thank everyone who responded by personal message with offers of assistance and again wish you all a wonderful couple of days together.

Hi everyone, as we only have a week to go, and we are all arriving and departing at different times, i have hopefully set uo a Microsoft Form that will let me collect your preferences in terms of trips and food etc.

Could you please follow this link and let me have your info as soon as possible. thank you

Broaches Farm Social Preference Form @Bexydack01 @George Hogg @wills

Hi Teresa
Oops. I missed your 'preferences' form first time around.
I'll consult with the boss and do it tomorrow

Would be interesting to see the running total for folks who have already signed up for the different events as it may help us 'ditherers' decide which boxes to tick

Cheers Spike

So far we have 30 people on the Dales tour, 17 would like lunch on the saturday (and ive been in discussion with the CB Inn who can do us mixed baguettes and chips for £10.50 a head, so im just going to check that people who wanted lunch are ok with that. 10 of us as splitting from the tour at Reeth to visit the Forbidden corner, and we have 29 up for a BBQ sat night. 29 for visiting Barnard Castle (i am liasing with them re a group tour) and 15 people would like sunday lunch which will be at the Rokeby Inn

These will change a little as we have a few extra folk now able to come. = i will send everyone a summary of what i have them down for, at little later today. Im leaving Norwich at 10 tomorrow so hoping to get there by 3 so i can say hello to Jude before she heads off to her hair appointment.

looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hi @Teresa,

Apologies that I've only just caught up on this thread, and that my replies to the preferences form is therefore very late.

Thank you so much for your huge efforts. Looking forward to seeing you very soon. :)

Tom

Hi Teresa I thought lunch would be at the farm on Saturday,so could you cancel my booking for 2 please .
regards terryg

Timings for the weekend

Hi everyone, i am part way through messaging everyone to double check that i have their details down correctly. I will have a few to finish a little later, but just wanted to let you have an idea of timings

For the Dales Tour, Graham and i will do a dummy run tomorrow when i get there, but it is likely that we would leave the site 12 - 12 30. The stop at the CB Inn around 1 where those of us who need lunch will have mixed baguettes and chips arranged

We will need to reach Reeth by 2.30 so those of us who are going to the Forbidden Corner at 3 can break off there.

We can aim for the BBQ between 6 and 7 - am planning to do a supermaket run saturday morning with a view to providing a BBQ for £3 a head. very happy if people prefer to bring their own food to cook though.

On Sunday, those who are going to Barnard Castle would need to leave about 9.30 to get parked up in time for our group booking at 10.am

I am finalising the Sunday lunch time with the Rokeby inn, but it is likely to be about 1pm

Sunday afternoon will be free to explore, or chill and mingle back at the Farm, for those who don't have to head off home

This is provisional and may change a bit, but will put any updates on here

Look forward to seeing you all :)

PS - still sorting out the best way to collect payment

Bit late, but hoping to join you Sunday morning. Have completed the questionnaire.

Maybe a bit of a random question but do we have any joggers attending the weekend? I'm doing a charity event for a fire service charity and need to walk cycle or run at least 4 miles most days to meet my target. So I'll be out walking or more likely running Saturday and Sunday morning. If anyone fancies joining me bring your trainers ❤️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♀️?‍♀️

2 posts in a row from me. I must be excited about my first A2 meet in over 2 years ?.
Over the 2 days it's my plan to give a wee thank you to the owner of the farm site who has given us exclusive use of the site. Im not claiming to be professional however I'm a competent hobby detailer and I'm going to do a multi stage makeover on Jude's car over the 2 days from decontamination of paintwork, underbody and engine bay clean, safe wash, 2 stage paint correction/machine polish and sealant. The interior will be fully detailed too providing i can borrow a vacuum as that's one item i can't fit in the car. This will be a non invasive demo and chat option for our relaxing time at the site. I'm always happy to swap hints and tips on keeping our babies looking their best. See you tomorrow people ❤️❤️?

Would have loved to come along to this, if only to meet up with those friends that I haven’t seen since Scotland in 2019. Unfortunately Evie our youngest is a very very sicky traveller and so the 4.5 hour drive would be just too much for her this year. Hopefully things would have improved by next year if it’s run again.

Ah, Evie was a bump when i saw her last! It could be good as an annual event if the site owner is happy and i will do some feedback forms after to see if people would like it to be run again and any improvements they can suggest.
