Afternoon again,

This is absolutely amazing everyone, the interest in this little venture is making sure this is going to happen.

Spreadsheet updated with with latest members showing interest:

Dave @Special edition are you able to insert a blank post at the very beginning of the thread, where I can post and update the spreadsheet instead of adding a new screenshot if it as and when members show interest. Unless that is, you think the way I’m doing is ok and gives a clearer understanding to everyone.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening all,

So we are not far over 24 hours since I started this proposal and already getting towards 50% of what is required for cheaper option footrests.

This really is fantastic and I thank you all for your support, in turn I WILL supply you with what you have shown interest in. I am here to see this through to the end and very excited so be fitting said footrest to my A2 in the coming weeks.

Earlier this evening I received images from @depronman (Paul thank you for your swift work on this with next to no input from myself, you are a legend!) of the first version of the CAD file which I will add at the bottom of this post. It looks great but of course both Paul and I are just 2 members, I want to hear from you all what you think. Do you like what you see or does it need adjusting or is it just right and ready for Cut-Tec to start producing these for us?

Here is the updated spreadsheet of interested already shown by members:

43 footrests spoken for this early really is great and I cannot thank you all enough. I really want one of these footrests in my A2 and the disappointment of the bay seller loosing the item (first picture in post #1) I purchased is now well in the past. Wherever the item ended up, it will certainly look inferior to what is now on offer and fitted into our own A2s in the coming weeks.

Below are the images of what Paul has worked on in the background. Paul thank you so much for your effort in supporting me in this little venture, it really is appreciated and I'm not sure how I would have managed to get a CAD file produced so quickly ready to transmit to Cut-Tec.

Of note for you all, the below images are a cardboard LASER cut out with white card from Pauls file, placed into his own A2. Please do voice you opinion and suggest anything that could be done to improve it. I want everyone to be happy with what is delivered (or collected) to them. My initial thought is that it could be slightly wider to fill the entire footrest left to right (apart from the curve on the right hand side) and slightly longer to disappear below out matts, mainly as some A2s, for some reason, might not have matts fitted and it would look better reaching the very bottom of the standard footrest, just my personal thoughts and I am here to listen to the majority.

These above images really do look amazing Paul, thank you so much.

Also after chatting to Paul over PM, he suggests not drilling holes into the footrest and fixing it down with 2 strips of 3M 25mm (wide) x 1mm (thick) double sided tape. This will leave no holes in the standard footrest should you choose to remove your new footrest cover for any reason (selling your A2 and fitting to another A2?). Therefore I will supply the footrests with the 2 strips of tape as this will be much cheaper for me to buy said tape opposed to you buying a full roll and only needing a tiny length of it. I will include this into the packaging cost which is not yet known to myself as this is progressing much quicker than I thought it would. The only thing you would need to do is place the tape on the extreme left and right of the footrest cover and cut the tape with a sharp blade where the TT Style cut outs are so the tape is not seen when fitted. I see this as a task that will take you just a few minutes but multiply that by 115 and you probably understand that Id rather not do it all myself.

All costs for packing, including tape will be with you before I ask for any money though and you can opt out at any time before I make the order.

Please do air you comments on the amazing work Paul already has done (in an amazingly quick time) for us as its your money and I'd like it to be exactly what your after.

Kind regards,

Tom
