Bespoke Branded Footwell Mats Group Order

Hello all,

I thought I'd move the list to the very start of the thread for easier viewing.

Here's the list below which will be updated periodically to show you the I have captured your interest. I'll revise the list over the next few days to ensure its fit for purpose but this should suffice for now:

As you've come to understand from pervious dealings, this Group Order is of course yet another zero profit venture. I'll be paying exactly the same for my mats that you are for yours. My time working in the background for you is free of charge, a way of giving back to the community I both enjoy and serve.

Kind regards,

Tom

I’m in please Tom, black with grey edging. Can I just clarify that the drivers mat comes with a carpet heel pad as standard, it’s only an extra £5 for a rubber heel pad?

Thanks. Ian
Morning Ian,

Good spot as I had missed this throughout the discussions I’ve had with Dan at Simply Car Mats. I can confirm that the Ultra Deluxe mats I’ve priced up are too think to add a carpeted heel pad, which is what I personally prefer.

I’ll go back to Dan and see if there is any possibility of them trying to add a carpeted heel pad. If not then I guess we’ll move down an option from Ultra Deluxe to selecting the Super Deluxe mats which are £20 a set cheaper before any discount.

Leave it with me and I’ll get in touch with the supplier this afternoon and provide an update afterwards.

Again, good spot reading into the detail that I had previously missed.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening all,

I've just sent Dan at Simply Car Mats a few questions and should have an answer tomorrow. It looks like we may have to downgrade from the Ultra Deluxe Mats to the Super Deluxe Mats. I don't yet know what discount we can obtain on these sets but if its the same 35% with 30 sets then it will be a great saving and we will still be receiving one of their premium offerings. The price is £20 cheaper to start with before any discount so all is not lost.

Please do keep registering your interest and I'll provide an update tomorrow along with revised prices.

Really looking forward to having a set of these bespoke branded mats now. Soon as we have the numbers require we should have them within our footwells in no more than a week or 2.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hello, me again,

The list at Post #1has just been updated.

Only 11 sets to go before we reach the minimum order quantity to see this to fruition and our footwells further updated.

Kind regards,

Tom

Updated pricing after getting the calculator out,

I received a reply from Dan at Simply Car Mats a few days ago and will explain the new pricing structure within this post.

Most importantly swapping from the Ultra Deluxe to the Super Deluxe still carries the same amount of discount should we reach the total of 30 sets.

Based on ordering 30 sets:
£32.50 - Super Deluxe Car Mats with edge trim and optional carpeted heel pad
£03.00 - Contrasting edging trim
£35.70 - Postsage to me (£5.95 per 5 sets delivered to me divided between the 30 sets = £1.20)
£18.00 - Embroidered swatch x2 (both from mats)
£60.00 - Embroidery template set up fee (divided between the 60 swatches of the 30 sets which is no change from before)

Added together and delivered to me the new total comes to:

With contrasting edging trim:
£56.70
£32.50 - Super Deluxe Car Mats with free carpeted heel pad
£03.00 - Optional contrasting edging trim
£01.20 - Delivered to me
£20.00 - Embroidered states on front mats

Without contrasting edging trim:
£53.70
£32.50 - Super Deluxe Car Mats with free carpeted heel pad
£01.20 - Delivered to me
£20.00 - Embroidered states on front mats

Postage and packaging from me to you remains unchanged and is broken down as follows:

£6.10
£0.30 - Packaging
£5.80 - Hermes delivery

Leading to the latest total as a complete package delivered to you as:

£62.80 with contrasting edging trim
£56.70 - Your mats delivered to me
£06.10 - Delivered to you via Hermes

£59.80 without contrasting edging trim
£56.70 - Your mats delivered to me
£06.10 - Delivered to you via Hermes

Hope that all makes sense as doing maths in public, even with a calculator can sometimes be embarrassing!

I have updated the beginning of this thread to reflect the price adjustment. The list will also be updated shortly with a column for heel pad (yes or no) which is no extra cost and will be carpeted.

Happy to take questions and please do keep registering your interest as we're getting close to making this venture happen.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hello again,

The list at Post #1 has just been updated.

Please do check that your requirements are correct. Also I may have missed trim colour choice from @Justin M, @Jellybean & @Ozzie.

We are getting close to seeing me send out PMs to obtain delivery addresses along with gathering the required funds from you. Once this happens you will have you footwell updated within 2 weeks.

Kind regards,

Tom

From how I understand it Tom, and apologies if already stated, the ultra deluxe are too thick for a carpet heel pad but rubber is an option if you wanted to buy direct from their site, albeit without the A2OC logo!

Morning Steve,

That is totally correct which is the reason for the change from Ultra Deluxe to Super Deluxe. During the discussions I’ve been having with Dan it just never came up that it wasn’t an option with the Ultra Deluxe. Of course I should have read deeper into the detail and failed on that account. It's hopefully solved now.

If I was to have a heal pad (still undecided) it would be carpeted opposed to the rubber heal pad so we had to change.

Kind regards,

Tom

Morning Tom
I’ve been torn between practical black or beige to match the interior.
Can you update my colour choice to beige with beige trim and heel pad.
Thanks for doing all this organising.
Regards
Graham

Tom, I may be missing something, but at the same risk of doing maths in public, can I just check the basic mat pricing again? I don't want you ending up out of pocket after all your hard work on this venture.

From the proposal in post 2 I see the Super Deluxe mats at £50 (£49.90), plus £5 for the carpeted heel pad, plus £3 for edging trim.. That comes to £58 not £53. If we get 35% off that, should that not be £37.70 per set before Club logos, delivery and onward postage?

Then, the trim is a £3 extra only for those who aren't going with the default black. (It appears black trim is also the default on beige mats). For those with black trim, the price with the heel pad and 35% discount, should be £55 x .65 = £35.70.

(All figures above to the nearest 10p).

Afternoon Ian,

I agree that the figures may need a little tweak on the list which I’ll get to this evening.

I’ll also have to chat with Dan again to confirm my understanding regards heel pad. My assumption is the rubber heel pad is an additional £5 whereas having a carpeted heel pad of the same colour as the mat is free. Their website pricing doesn’t quite tally up with the explanations to be honest. I’ll get the definitive answer tomorrow.

With the newly selected Super Deluxe Mats brings the option of Grey carpeted mats which might appeal to some. The edging trim is only an addition £3 if it not the same colour of the mat colour. So I guess I might have over estimated the price on the list.

Before I get to asking for funds I’ll of course obtain an itemised quote/invoice to ensure I’m not out of pocket and more importantly I’m not asking for anything above than what is required. As you know I operate these ventures at zero profit.

I’ll come back to everyone in the next couple of days but for now I’ll update the list pricing for the members who have the chosen same colour trim edging as the mat as it should be £3 cheaper.

Kind regards,

Tom

Guess we also need confirmation that the 35% discount applies to heel pads and optional trim colours. If so, then orders with the black default trim should be £2 cheaper.

Ian,

Just looked at the figures I provided and see exactly what you mean now. Seems the figures are correct for members who have chosen trim that’s the same colour and the mats. It should be an additional £3 for ‘non-standard’ trim colour.

I’ll update shortly Sir.

Thanks for spotting and apologies for misleading information on pricing everyone.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Ian,

Here an extract from the most recent email regards swapping to the Super Deluxe. Even Dan has got the figures wrong here:

CA1C13D9-A47B-4800-A2EE-714989F6E715.jpeg

Tha base price of the mats are £49.90 - 35% which should be £32.44 and not £34.44.

The edging trim and embroidery charge is not on discount. I’ll update the list in the next few hours.

I’ll have an invoice to confirm all is correct when we eventually get to submitting the order.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening all,

I have recalculated things and updated the list. All should be good now. I'm yet to update the supplier website pictures at the beginning of the thread and will get to that later on.

In short, for a set of Super Deluxe Mats delivered to you with embroidered swatches on the front mats will be:

£62.80 with contrasting edging trim, example: Black mats with Red trim (mat and trim colour different)

£59.80 without contrasting edging trim, example: Beige mats with Beige trim (same mat and trim colour)

Hope you can forgive me for making a few mathematical blunders earlier but I think all is in order now.

Kind regards,

Tom

Tom, I would like the carpeted heel pad. Can you confirm at some point if that is extra pls.

Thanks

Evening Ian,

The question has been submitted to Dan at Simply Car Mats and will bring everyone up to speed once I’ve got the definitive answer in email from him.

From a previous email this was offered to a similar question:

Hi Tom,

We can keep the same discount on Super Deluxe. Unfortunately there is no way to put a carpet heel pad on the Ultra

From that response I concluded that a carpeted mat was an option on the Super Deluxe.

This is what’s stated on the website:

Heel Pad Options:

Most of our carpet floor mats include a standard heel pad at no additional charge. This is usually an additional layer of carpet in the same colour as your floor mat

With the Super Deluxe being their most expensive mat set that can have a carpeted heel pad applied it ‘should’ be free. More to follow tomorrow.

Kind regards,

Tom

Afternoon all,

I can form that the standard (carpeted) heel pad is free on the Super Deluxe Mats.

Here’s today’s response from Dan regards this exact question along with my interpretation of pricing:

“Tom,

Confirm the standard heel pad is free of charge on the Super Deluxe

With contrasting edging trim:
£56.70
£32.50 - Super Deluxe Car Mats with free carpeted heel pad
£03.00 - Optional contrasting edging trim
£01.20 - Delivered to me
£20.00 - Embroidered states on front mats

Without contrasting edging trim:
£53.70
£32.50 - Super Deluxe Car Mats with free carpeted heel pad
£01.20 - Delivered to me
£20.00 - Embroidered states on front mats

Thanks

Dan”

Hope that clears things up from the confusion or doubt I may have caused over the weekend.

Kind regards,

Tom
