Just been out and slid under the thing, oil blowing out the outlet charge pipe fitting area so tightened it up lots, it wasn't loose just sensible as a jubilee clip as always on there. Should it be spring clip as access is pants? Think my atl had spring clip...
Either way oil coming out and dripping down the pipes so either pipe was too loose or the turbo shaft "seals" or end plates as they're known are letting oil past and worn out, might explain jet noise as that could be enough play to touch the impeller on the casing of the turbo under load.
The noise still there after tightening so turbo is cooked..
Oh man after having engine sat on my drive for 6 weeks. I could shoot myself for ot just changing it.
So engine out again and turbo off then, unless anyone thinks os drive shaft off, inlet manifold off and tilting engine is enough to struggle it off?
Or anyone want to buy it and put a turbo on it?? Honda jazz looking very appealing right now.....
