Word of warning on this one (sorry to be late to the party), the white clip that the servo arm clicks in to on the brake pedal will shatter when they try and remove it, so I would make them aware of this before they start the job. it would be a good idea to try and get a replacement before starting the job, there is a thread on here about another model of car (seat from memory) that will fit but needs a bit of fettling...otherwise they will end up with a car in bits and no way of replacing the clip...just a heads up for you Harvey.
Andy, ( @Clackers ) , is it this part, 1H0 721 179?
If so it's common to several vag cars.

The part number you have quoted is the metal shell bearing, the plastic clip is a totally different part number from what I can find...I am unsure of the part number for the plastic clip though.

Is it the dimple like item, in the centre of the pedal, a couple of cms down? Looks like part 9, fits in the back of it. Doesn't have a number. Part of the pedal assy.

From this thread, in changing the servo, (post #6), it's 1H0 721 357.
It's widely available, but is described as for the clutch pedal.
