Today I.....

Today I received new glovebox pins off @in9999.
Just want to say what a pleasure it is to be part of this A2 community, friendly, helpful and best of all we are all here to help each other out!

In a past life I was heavily into my air cooled vdubs and used to frequent those forums, things with them used to be great with people helping each other out, then the price of those rusty dogs went beyond realistic and everyone started to become unhelpful and extremely greedy!

Today I became the owner of another A2 ?
1.6fsi this time. Picked it up from London and enjoyed every second of the drive home.
drives absolutely spot on!
Mot booked for tomorrow then the fun begins!!
cambelt, full service and a full on detailing session, can’t wait.
Really impressed with the fsi.
Lovely spec, lumbar seats in soul black in near perfect condition, double din dash, black leather steering wheel and it’s a five seater!
Damn these A2’s for being so awesome!!

I’m a bit blasé as the old man has had one from new and it was the 1st A2 I ever drove!! In honesty I wasn’t that impressed but I’ve grown to appreciate it. I’d rather have either of mine though!

Today I dropped one A2 off at the garage, and collected the other. They had kindly given it a wash and valet. It's only a basic A2 but driving up and seeing the little thing looking clean and tidy in the collection area, standing out against the other motors made me smile and once again appreciate what a great design the A2 is. :)
 
Today (or yesterday actually) I loaded my A4 on a trailer and took it to my local garage that specialises in fast Audis for a wheel alignment, brake fluid change, EGR valve and MOT. The mechanic called me today and told me that the flexible section on the exhaust was leaking, so that had to be changed as well. It had been standing in my garage since May when I bought it, and I have replaced shocks all round, brake shoes, drums, hand brake cables, wheel cylinders and brake pipes rear end. New wiper arm (the old one had worn bushes), fog lights, 2nd hand aluminium rims with new rubber, new battery and a general tidying up. A bit worried about the bill from the garage, but looking forward to drive it for the first time tomorrow - have owned A3's, 4's and currently an S5, but have never driven an A2 before
