Bonnet Across Britain - the Journey

Hi
I've sent Simon a message to see if I can drop it off to him in Ipswich. I have to admit that I have lost my enthusiasm for the bonnet now

Sorry, that makes it look like it's her fault which it's not: it's mine for being slow to respond to her message... we're not very quick in Suffolk either. Any Essex or London people want it after me! Where are you A2Sumo?

Teresa and I are in dialogue: expect movement soon... nothing comes out of Norfolk fast!

You may have to eat your hat when Jigsaw gets his A2 tdi up and running :)

I think its just a case that the bonnet got backed into a corner of the country qhere there aren't many members. Glad its on the move and I rhink we all owe a thank you to Teresa for persevering.

Hi Simon

A2Sumo and I are in Maldon.

After a shady meeting and dodgy deal in pub car park the exchange has finally happened. Bonnet is now in Nottinghamshire... who's next? Message me

Thank you Aimee!

@Teresa - you must be so pleased to have your dining room back! Don't forget to send me the mileage total including the initial journey back from collecting in Birmingham

Hope we can keep the bonnet moving...

Hilary

Thank you so much to Aimee and Lee for meeting up and taking it off me yesterday. And also Simon and Mike who were also very willing volunteers.

I was thinking that as it needs to end up with Gary (Jigsaw) for sealing towards the end of its journey, we could try to make sure that it makes its way to Maldon (Mike and Vonnie), then to Simon in Ipswich and finally Gary in August sometime?

I'll message you with my mileage a bit later Hilary :)

With so many great places in Nottingham and Derby area it was difficult to decide where to take my bonnet picture. I narrowed it down to one quite easily though after realising that Nottingham is the worst place to park up in the world. So here it is, the best places for car loving and music loving people. Donington Park has a great motor racing museum and if you still have time after looking round their exhibits then pop down the road about 1/2 a mile and you have a small aircraft museum (both are definitely worthy of a visit). I have to say, I am quite taken with a black bonnet on my car too.

Brilliant photo. Glad to see it on the move again. Where is it going next?

Not sure Steve as no one has contacted me yet but don't worry the bonnet is getting plenty of mileage. Have it in the car at work with me at the moment.

If no one can take it off my hands this Sunday afternoon then I may take a trip to Bakewell with it. Could do with a Bakewell pudding, it's been a while since I had one ;)

I prefer a tart, but that is another story!

I have 7 A2s that could be added in one go when it gets near Staines / Heathrow!!!

Hi,

I am snowed under at the moment, restoring the two A2s but please keep me on the list and I will definitely sort something out soon.
