Having now got the car back into proper use, its got me thinking about more power. It's certainly very quick, but i'd like just that little bit extra.
I've been down this route before and some of you may remember how that ended up My turbo'd FSI that went bang.
I've been looking into what can be done with the 1600 16v golf engine and there are both turbo and supercharger options out there, but they both involve forging the engine internals. That's a cost i don't want to outlay at the moment.
Now the arguement could be had that i should just buy a powerful car to begin with. I have a powerful car, (a 300hp Jaguar) but I like A2's
Coming to my point eventually, the other way to speed up a car is to lose weight, so I think this is going to be the next option.
A guy via one of the facebook clubs has followed a similar thought process and got an FSI down to 815kg, so that's a very decent weight saving.
Has anyone come across anything in the archives around the weights of certain A2 parts?
